She was scheduled to go to a pizza run in Old Forge, but was briefly interrupted when some PA operatives of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy managed to capture her,
Hillary, as most would like to see her.
Mommy, Mommy, look, a Stalinist!
After her rampage at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport, and her stop at Revello's, she decided to have her rally at Scranton High School to give some calculated platitudes, like this,
But far from the roar of the crowd, the cheering, the signs and the music, Hillary Clinton told us about Pennsylvania. “People call things out to me. ‘I'm from Tunkhannock, I'm from Lake Winola.’ I said this before, Pennsylvania is like a second home to me and it really is,†said Clinton.
Really? A second home? Or a second home because you know the only chance you have at recovering your campaign is in PA? Methinks the latter is the case. From what I saw, the crowd wasn't too enthused until she started namedropping things in Northeast PA.
In any case, she'll be going to Scranton's yearly St. Patrick's Day Parade, she's supposed to be with Fast Eddie Rendell for that. For those that don't know, Scranton area is very Irish, coal mining built that region, and a lot of the miners were Irish.
I so hope she commits some faux pas like when Kerry ordered swiss on his cheesesteak in Philly, and has one of these on St. Patrick's,

Cuffy has two cheeky videos.
As bad off as the GOP is, Nice Deb points out the Democrats aren't doing much better. Let's hope Hillary's ginormous ego drags the whole party down. True story, Bill O'Reilly's ego looks to the Hildebeest's ego for inspiration. And totally unrelated, but this one is good too.
mesablue finds an almost perfect visual to go with this story. I say almost because a smelly douchebag with sandals would have been more accurate.
Slublog asks if you're ready for Eagle-cam, and no its not some stupid Stephen Colbert thing. I actually think there was a someone in PA that did a similar thing with peregrine falcons.
S. Weasel on moderates and moderation.
Damn, talk about an unhappy customer.
A heaping dose of FAIL from Camp Clinton.
Two answer the question posed at the end of this, the answer is no.
Stashiu has a fascinating story on a new theory on what causes Alzheimer's, it may have a relationship to diabeetus, or even be a type of diabeetus.

I'm gonna go ahead and make some predictions. We'll hear complaints about the amount of paper we're using and the damage that the lumber industry is causing to forests in order to make these hangars.
The second is that environmentalists declare wire or plastic is better for the environment within 20 years, assuming paper becomes the dominant type of hanger.
Last, paper hangers will become like computers and plastic grocery bags, which were going to seriously reduce paper waste, but of course now we have non-biodegradable plastic bags everywhere, and computers have actually dramatically increased paper usage.
Thank God we have the environmentalists to steer us ignorant rubes in the right direction, who knows what kind of catastrophe we could haplessly wander into without their guidance!

Speaking of HuffPo, how pitiful is it that HuffPo has to shut down its own comments on their reporting on terrorist attack on a Jewish school in Israel because they fear the waves of anti-semitic venom from their own commenter?
Weasel...you are so wrong. So, so wrong. But of course that's why we love you. Speaking of Weasel, have you seen the Zombie Reagan 2008 widgets?
bmac has some neat pics of Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes in LA, most notably the Ennis-Brown house.
If you haven't seen it, geoff comments on the complaints people have about NCLB.
Karl at Protein Wisdom notes the Hildebeest and Obama's podium-pounding demagoguery against free trade, and their quiet assurances to people who aren't Commie retards that its all rhetoric.
Brian at Snapped Shot points out the Bycott of Denmark, and this is kinda funny given recent events.
Stashiu sees recent efforts to condemn bad language as a step toward improving civil society. I think as long as it doesn't turn into an impulse to use government authority, I generally agree, otherwise, it just becomes poisonous Nanny Statism.
Funneh...the Colombian government asks Europeans not to indulge in the nose candy because the cocaine traffickers destroy forests and contribute to Global Warming.

And Joe gets it right too, how bloody often are solid conservatives told to quit complaining, fall in line, eat the turd sandwich and grin while we do it? Maybe its time for you RINOs and Fall-in-Line Republicans to fall in line for once, Hmm? Its interesting to see the shoe on the other foot for once, and of course, exactly what we figure will happen happens.
Speaking of which, sounds like he might be a good choice for those conservatives looking for local candidates to support this year. Here's Andy Harris' site, he could use some help with all the turncoats he now has to deal with. Other opportunities for conservatives here.

And yes, we're sure the Nannies will impose a new set of bans on the proles of Minnesota in order to close this loophole, but I'm always heartened when people offer a big "Screw You" to belligerent Nanny Staters. Good job, Minnesotans!
Hmmm...maybe I have an idea for a new production,

Aguilar said that most street reporters are expected to "go out there and ask the hard questions. As journalists, shouldn't we able to do the same thing on the inside? We shouldn't live in fear.
Yeah, and old men who don't have the luxury of living in a safe low-crime developments shouldn't have to live in fear either, you spoiled twit.
Because once you put fear into a reporter, how can you expect that person to pursue the truth, pursue the facts? We cannot as reporters be Jekyll and Hyde, one person on the inside, another person on the outside. Those plantation days are over."
Aguilar, who hired an attorney after the suspension, declined to say whether she'd take any legal action against Fox4. "Let me just put it this way," she said. "I'm going to use any method I can to regain my reputation."
Except for acknowledging that you effed up in a big way and deserve the scorn you're receiving.
Aguilar, whose husband still works at Fox4, contends that the station may have "ruined my career."
No Rebecca, Fox 4 didn't ruin your career, you did.

The recruiting station is a large one, and houses recruiting stations for the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force. The NYPD and the NYPD bomb squad are on scene. I hope whoever did this is caught before they get a chance to do this again, and spends a loooooong time in prison.

The captain was then told by those surgeons that it would take two years before he would be even be able to walk, and even then, he might not have full function. The captain looked at the surgeons and said "cut it off," because having it removed and getting a prosthetic would put him back in service quicker than letting the reattached leg heal. Bad. Ass.

Sockless Joe agrees with the various punditry and talking heads that our odds of taking back the House and Senate are about nil, short of a major scandal break in our favor. He also has this right, we shouldn't abandon the House and Senate races.
Joe calls it Financial Attrition. I like that. And this is a demonstrable principle. The GOP took a beating in PA in 2006, most notably with the loss of Rick Santorum's Senate seat to Bob Casey. One of the things that really hurt us was that 2006 was fact that the PA gubernatorial race was that year.
Why was the PA governor's race a factor? Fast Eddie Rendell. Rendell could have easily skated to his re-election in 2006, Lynn Swann, while a decent guy, is just not cut out for politics, and was a painfully (almost embarrassingly) weak candidate, which hurt GOP candidates because it gave people one less reason to go to polls at a time where the GOP was polling pretty weak. Fast Eddie could have sat back and took re-election without lifting a finger. He didn't. He campaigned like he was in trouble, and spent a good bit of his war chest, and worked to boost Democrat candidates all throughout the state, which definitely hurt several GOP incumbents in the state.
We can do similar things. Anywhere where we can challenge a otherwise safe Democrat saps them of resources they may otherwise be able to kick to candidates that are struggling or to help the presidential campaign itself. As Joe says,
What do these unchallenged incumbents do with their money? They give some of it away to help candidates elsewhere. By helping push their marginal fellow partisans over the finish line they accumulate favors for future battles.
Oppositely, what does an incumbent do when he as a challenger? He empties his coffers! Electoral history is littered with the corpses of challengers who were outspent 3-to-1 yet were only defeated by a few percentage points.
We need to find candidates who have the potential to sap the coffers of normally well-entrenched Democrats. The first person that comes to mind that would have that potential is Lou Barletta, given his national appeal to those concerned about illegal immigration. Another good opportunity in PA will be either Chris Hackett or Dan Meuser, who are both trying to take back the House seat from Chris Carney, I prefer Hackett, as he seems to be the more solid conservative of the two, and District 10 is a pretty conservative district. Beyond that, Hackett is getting all the right endorsements. District 10 is a spot we can get back, we lost it due to scandal with Don "Is Don Sherwood gonna have to choke a bitch" Sherwood. Conservative Belle suggested a while ago that Jon Elrod in Indiana may a possibility as well.

I'll be interested to see where this goes, I have to wonder if this was taped, either audio or video, apparently this was before Obama's big boost in stature, but if there is tape or audio, that could be trouble.
