Bill Acknowledging Armenian Genocide Passes House Foreign Affairs Committee

Good.  I don't fucking care about bruising Turkey's little ego.  Let them bitch and moan and bang their sippy cups on their hi-chairs.  The  Armenian Genocide has been ignored and swept under the carpet for too long, and Turkey has pretty much gotten away with it, with little to no criticism.

I am particularly ashamed that Bush has adamantly opposed this, how the hell can we rail against Ahmadinejad's psychotic rants calling for the destruction of Israel, and not acknowledge the Armenian genocide?  Answer, you can't, unless you're a hypocrite.

  I fully support the passing of this resolution, the Armenian people, those who died, and their descendents deserve this, we never hesitate to call the Holocaust, the events in Rwanda, the Balkans and in Darfur currently what they are, genocide.  Why should Armenia be any different?

This is funny!  A guy in clown makeup kicked in a man's door and punched him in the face.  There were actually three clowns, one of them knocked on the man's door, he opened the door and promptly shut it, only to have one clown kick open the door and punch him in the face.  The man recognized one of the clowns, but doesn't know the guy who punched him.

Anti-Israel Jew Whines: "The Zionist Global Conspiracy is Shutting Us Down!"

The author is whining because they were scheduled to meet with a Jewish youth group and it got cancelled.  She was supposed to speak against Israel after an AIPAC speaker spoke in favor of Israel.  The author is a member of Jewish Voice For Peace, a Jewish group that opposes Israel.  The claim made is that an AIPAC member told the youth group leadership to keep the Jewish Voice For Peace people out, or they'd take away their funding, and the whole thing got cancelled.

...I'm calling BS, if AIPAC was that powerful, why wouldn't they just make the youth group lecture AIPAC only? 

Why is Israel's increasingly brutal 40-year occupation of Palestinian land regularly debated in the mainstream media abroad, including in Israel, but not here? And why is there an almost total lack of discussion among presidential candidates about the dollars that subsidize this occupation and the American diplomatic support that makes it possible?

 

Why isn't it discussed here?  It is discussed, but the problem for people who hate Israel like you is that the American people are the only people that won't budge from the position that Israel has a right to exist, and you know it you stupid twat.  And the reason those subsidies don't get discussed is because most people agree that Israel should get them, with the exception being the Nutroots and Paleocon crackpots like Pat Buchanan. 

And you have the nerve to talk about Israeli brutality?   I don't see the Israelis purposely targeting civilians, however I do see Palestinian terrorists doing so regularly, attempting to blow themselves up in pizzarias and buses full of civilians.

Ah, I see, this is the type of person we're dealing with here.  For those that don't know, Walt and Mearsheimer wrote a book claiming AIPAC and some other powerful Jews and Jewish groups form and excesssively influence most of the US policy in the Middle East.  Basically its a new spin on the old classic Anti-semite "Jews control the world" meme, as I've heard Abraham Foxman call it.  The authors mad at Dershowitz because he's been going after Jew-Hatin' Jimmy Carter for his hateful book.

Of course, they're not being silenced, or I wouldn't be making fun of this numbskull, cuz I would have never seen this stupid article.

Non-Jewish critics, even former President Carter, are denounced as anti-Semites. Special ire is reserved for Jewish dissenters, who are branded as "self-hating" or "marginal," while Muslim and Arab-Americans are easily smeared and even criminalized with charges of supporting terrorism.

Jimmy Carter does hate Jews, half of his political thinktank bailed on him because they were appalled at his anti-Semitic book, and not to mention his cheerleading for the vile terrorist group Hamas.

I can't be bothered to dissect the rest of it, basically a couple of people who are facing opposition in getting chairs at colleges and a few cancelled speaking engagements, blah blah, being repressed, so here's the last bit,

And that's where much of this newfound "Anti-Zionism" garbage stems from, and why a lot of the Nutroots are becoming outright Anti-Semites.  The Left in America is first and foremost anti-war, if Western nations are fighting it (doubly so of they're winning), and that is where we get some of the Anti-Israel Jews from.  

This is also likely why people like Pat Buchanan and other isolationists tend to be anti-Semitic, that said, the real question then becomes a chicken and egg conundrum, which came first, the Anti-Semitism, or the anger at Israel because it forces them into an ideologically incompatible place?

Its not that the Anti-Israel Jews aren't Jewish, I'm not claiming that, they're just religiously Liberal first, and for a Leftist, that means they have to abandon the tiny outpost of western democracy in the Middle East, even if it means the total slaughter of a people at the hands of a brutal and fanatic enemy that represents everything the Left claims to oppose and fear in America.

Britney Spears House Raided By Thieves

Most of this article focused on Britney Spears' custody issues and reuniting with her mother, who have grown apart recently, but the real story is that Britney's mansion was raided by thieves overnight while she was away at a hotel.  The speculation is that they managed to swipe several sex tapes and naughty pictures, and several other personal belongings, some being photos of her two kids.

This is just getting worse and worse, I don't really enjoy seeing this downward spiral, I'm not gonna rag on those that do, but I just look at it and cringe.

Tax Evaders Arrested After Almost A Year

Remember the Browns?  Well, they just got taken in by the Feds, with no resistance.  The Browns had refused to pay their income taxes, declaring them unconstitutional and stating they were leaving free or in a hail of bullets....well, a group of US Marshals pretended to be supporters of the Brown families resistance, and nabbed them without any problems on their front porch.

The Browns are going to begin the 63 month sentence they face for tax evasion, and will likely be facing other charges because their property is littered with booby traps and illegal explosive devices.

After federal raid disasters like the ones at Ruby Ridge and Waco, the Feds decided to do things in a slow, methodical way that would avoid a big firefight.  Locals were getting impatient because of the stream of crazy militiamen and other assorted nutbars visiting the Browns to support them.  The only major action that happened before the Browns were taken in was in June when the Feds surrounded the property while they seized another Brown owned property.

I think the Marshals made a good choice in taking a slow methodical approach in dealing with these nuts instead of doing a big raid that ends in a big firefight and people getting killed, Ruby Ridge and Waco both ended up big PR disasters for the Feds.

New England and Southern Secessionists Teaming Up

The Vermont/New England lefty secessionists have been making the rounds on TV and other media lately, the Southern secessionists have been around for a while, but now they've joined up.  Both groups are disattisfied with the Federal government, the Southern groups wanting conservative values like ending abortion and strong immigration enforcement(they're also accused of being white supremacists, though I don't know a thing about these people so I don't know), where the New Englanders are angry about the war and "imperialism", and I'm sure the litany of other leftist values are in there too.

Apparently, both movements are growing, which is entirely unsurprising, I fully expect that they'll continue to given the frustration of over where the country is going and an increasingly different opinion on where the country should go. 

I expect that this sort of thinking is going to become more mainstream over time(where now its in the tinfoil hat realm), there is going to be a strong appeal to move in this direction, as it makes living in a nation run by an ideology you identify closely with much, much easier.  Of course one wonders if the people who are leaning toward this idea have thought about the negative side effects of this idea. 

That said, I'd like to see the federal gov't loosen its control and let the states have more say and responsibility or even direct say and responsibility, particularly on domestic policy, but this secession talk is too much.

Teacher Makes Racial Slur An Answer For An Elementary Crossword

Idiot, how do you not know you're getting in trouble for this?   It was an exercise on the book "Sounder" which is about racism and living as sharecroppers.  One of the questions asked was about a common racial slur used against black people in the book. 

Apparently, the crossword came from a website that you pay for activities for the kids.  This teacher shouldn't necessarily be fired for the crossword puzzle, but I think the case could be made to fire them for stupidity for not recognizing the trouble they were about to visit on themselves.

Oh, and I know South Park fans thought of...

Because that was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the title.

WTF?  Let's just pull some quotes out of this...it starts out as a review of Naomi Klein's new (I'm assuming its a total) crapfest, The Shock Doctrine, which is about people profiting during disasters or war...

In her book The Shock Doctrine, the author describes major economic and political shifts taking place in the immediate aftermath of traumatic upheavals (war, natural disasters, etc.), an analytical record of the ideological exploitation of people's vulnerability and fear throughout our history that is enlightening and staggering.

Okay, the classic Hitlerburton profits on war meme, right?  I, er, think so.  I think this guy was seriously high when he wrote this.  The author writing...whatever the hell he was writing pitches "The Shock Doctrine" like a pitch from a corny self help seminar.

The Manufactured Controversy to Counter The Hsu Affair?

From what I gather from this article, the author is trying to tie Romney to the shady Huawei company run by a former officer of the People's Liberation Army.

The company focuses most of its business on putting together telecommunication systems in China, but has also been accused of putting together a telecommunication system for Saddam before the Iraq war by the Iraq Study Group. In 2003, it also got hit with a patent infringement suit from Cisco Systems, which it settled.

So what's the Romney connection you ask?  Well, Huawei is part of 3Com, a business group, and is going to be bought by Bain Capital, which Mitt Romney used to run.   Yup, that's it!  There's your big connection...

Note to Lefties before you jump on this bandwagon:  I think you need to go back to the drawing board there, guys, this one kinda sucks...

Britney Spears Might Have Just Lost Custody of Her Kids

Its being reported by this tabloid site...

That said, if its true, I'm sadly glad.  How bad is it that I actually think they're better off with Kevin Federline?  And I know I'm not alone.  I honestly hope the situation for these kids gets better, they deserve better, K-Fed is by no means the kind of person I'd pick for father of the year, but Britney's a train wreck, and its better that the kids aren't around her right now, hopefully she can get herself in order so she can be with her children.

Heh: Subway Less Healthy Than McDonalds

Not necessarily directly, but what happens is people feel more comfortable ordering extra at Subway because their subs are touted as healthier, they pick up extra sides, and larger sodas, and less often order diet sodas than they would at McDonalds or other unhealthy fast food restaurants, and in the end their meals often have way more calories than they would have had they went with the greasy burger and didn't feel like they could order extra.

Strippers and Hookers and Blow, Oh My!

This guy promised his girlfriend he'd quit going out with his friends for strippers, hookers and blow, and handed her a check for $100K that she could cash if he went out. In 2005, he went out a night at a strip club and apparently had himself a little nose candy. 


I'm a hell of a drug!

So now, he's in court, and filed suit trying to get the money back soon after his girlfriend cashed it.  He's a Wall Street stock trader who goes out regularly for hookers and blow, so he has money, his girlfriend says she has a bunch of saved texts between him and her that say he told her to go ahead and cash it, and talks about failing a home drug test.
