A law school classmate who was a big Obama supporter emails: “Have to say, I thought you were overstating the dangers of Obama before the election. Sheesh. This November can’t come fast enough.†I didn’t say “I told you so.â€Heh. Indeed. I was told that if I voted for John McCain, we'd all be well and truly fucked, and now we are!
(I'd link to a sale on cookware or digital cameras at Amazon here, but I'm fucking tired and can't think of any more Instapundit cliches, so I'm about to go to bed now.)

"The orgasm is the ultimate feeling of lust; it shouldn't be limited to ejaculation," he said. "You can reach it through art or by looking at a landscape and thinking 'Wow!'"This actually goes a long way toward explaining why I'm not allowed in various prestigious museums and galleries anymore.
(And, well, let's just say that the less that's said about those high school kids from the art class on their field trip, the better.)

Because they're so easy to get through the gun show loophole or something.
So here's an update.
I think.
I don't know the blogger and he(?) quotes an anonymous person from ODCMP.
For what it's worth, he says that the Korean Garands are actually owned by the US already, they were given under a lend/lease sort of deal.
So they need to return them to the US who would then sell them to CMP to get some more Garands into the country.
Which I'm pretty sure won't happen until after the current admin is not in charge, so I hope Korea can hang onto them for another couple years.
No Garand should ever be destroyed.
Besides, Korea might need them if the poofy haired maniac's successor needs a war to cement his claim.
It sounds plausible, that's why I'm passing it on. I just hate being Shep Smith and passing on every unsourced thing I see.
If it's wrong, blame Say Uncle .

We have Ace getting all worked up in both directions, first yelling at his commenters and then basically strenuously arguing exactly the opposite, even going so far as to advocate for a third party. We also have Drew M. telling us to suck it up and trust the NSRC and, funniest of all, Allah getting all militant.
Personally, I think LC Aggie Sith had it right, our political betters learned the lesson from the last two elections and the tea parties and don't like it.
They hate Palin and Beck only slightly less than the Dems hate him, and for the same reason.
She and Beck are threatening their phoney-baloney jobs.
From the Examiner link
quote
I called to ask whether the NRSC would be providing legal counsel to Murkowski’s challenger, Joe Miller and the answer was no.
Of course not, he's not an establishment, career politician who has raised money for them. He's just running for Senate on the Republican ticket.
Never mind that makes him the same as Murkowski, albeit with a lead.
More Examiner quotage
NRSC chairman John Cornyn, R-Texas, had pledged not to get involved in primaries, and Brian Walsh, a spokesman for the committee, was emphatic that Cornyn’s pledge was against getting involved in open primariesWait, wait, wait, you said contested primaries not open, what do you mean by trying Clinton your way around what you said?
Cornyn lied.
Comity died.
He said, and they quote from an ABC article
We will not spend money in a contested primary,(underline V)†Sen. John Cornyn, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, told ABC News in a telephone interview today. “There’s no incentive for us to weigh in,†said Cornyn, R-Texas. “We have to look at our resources. . . . We’re not going to throw money into a [primary] race leading up to the election.â€(underline V)

I'm just stymied at how this whole situation came to be. People in the real world understand that if you don't pay your bills, your service gets cut off. Why did the state think it was exempt from this? The only rationalization I can come up with is that the state figured that with a lack of incoming tax dollars they could cut services to those who aren't paying a portion of the tax burden.
Regardless of who the blame finally comes to rest upon in this whirling dervish of finger pointing, it's obvious that we're seeing a harbinger of things to come. Unfortunately, the resolution I see forthcoming given the current makeup of our state government is legislation requiring doctors and hospitals to accept Medicare and Medicaid for at least a portion of their patient load, regardless of whether it causes docs to run in the red. Never mind that if doctors are running at an income deficit, they're not paying taxes into the system so they can treat patients with government or no insurance. And then there's the issue of the 3,000 patients on the waitlist to see a family doctor at Denver Health - running doctors out of practice by reducing their income causes a shortfall of doctors, which in a free market would mean that doctors could ask for higher compensation, which would encourage more people to become health care professionals, which would lower the compensation rate until market equilibrium was achieved. What part of the free market is failing that there are 3,000 patients without basic medical care? Can't we just set up a clinic where doctors will work for free, never mind the costs of running that clinic and never mind the costs the doctors and nurses and medical technicians and receptionists incurred to become educated to do their jobs, and all the equipment and maintenance for that equipment can be free, and we should be able to just compel the building owner to give the clinic free rent and the utility companies to provide heat and lights for free and the labs should run all the tests for free too!
A concerning side note: We've been hearing that the state is running at a budget shortfall of $60 million. Where would our shortfall lie if the state were paying its bills?

Look, I'm not going all black helicoptery about this. I do not believe that Obama's Sekrit Muslim Masters told him to stop the prosecution. But instead of the MFM rolling their eyes and writing pieces about how stupid Republicans are, the press should consider the impact that this has when combined with the apology tour, the comments about the call to prayer being the most beautiful sound in the world and the comments about the mosque, amid other things. If the MFM is so concerned about correcting this incorrect belief, perhaps the MFM should investigate the sources of that belief.
Here's my take on the Cole story - prosecutin' terrorists is hard. It would be nice if maybe anyone in the Obama administration recognized that, mayhap, an apology is owed to Pres. Bush for acting like it wasn't.
Yes, yes, the Cole story is totally freaking stolen from Slu over at the Head Moron's. It's not a ripoff, it's an *homage*.

All said, I'm glad that he got to come out on his own terms and didn't end up being forcibly outed by a vicious and vengeful left. Mehlman always appeared to me to be a very capable guy for a GOP leader, so you know the left would have loved nothing more than to find concrete proof of his gayness and drag him out of the closet in the most nasty, humiliating way possible.

An AIDS activist group is bringing a complaint against Larry Flynt, accusing the porn king of compromising the safety of his adult film stars by not having them use condoms. They were apparently too busy to answer the phone for some reason. The AIDS Health Foundation said Thursday it delivered a complaint and 100 DVDs of hardcore Flynt films to the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health office.
Cal-OSHA officials did not return calls for comment.

According to Rasmussen, Republicans are now more trusted than Democrats on all 10 of the issues in the poll.
I think it's fascinating that the only issue on which either party has over 50% is on taxes.

Question, is that MP? It has to be Wisconsin.

Color pics by some famous Russian photographer from 100 years ago.
The color makes them freaky.
You don't expect to see some Emir Khan clutching his huge sword in color.
The Cossack looking Khan is freaky too, you can tell he's the real thing. He's not in a play or movie, he's just back from a busy day beheading peasants who were late on their taxes and maybe a quick pogrom on the Jews.
None of them are smiling. It's weird, even the kids aren't smiling.
That's why I don't like Russian literature, if I want depressing people who expect the worst, I'll read Allah.

Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.
Megarobofuck you with a fucking rancid rotopeeler lingering in rusty fuckjuices so hard you would be begging to get your colon peeled sideways for fucking meddling in yet another Republican Primary, and for yet again siding with the wrong fucking candidate to boot. Fuck you for once again siding with a RINO hack from a red state over a guy who actually, Gaia fucking forbid, would be better for Alaska and America than the latest from a long line of crooked family shitbums. And triple fuck you with a side order of fuckloaded hate sauce for trying to tell us that you know better than the fucking voters.
Seriously, you fuck what the fuck fuck fuckity fuck is your fucking problem? Do you not fucking realize that your assholery, stupidity, and chasing of the porkulance as if it were a clean hooker fresh off the boats is what got us into the minority? And you want to continue those fucking ways by continuing to support people such as Murkowski, Bennet, Crist, Specter, Dede, and any other RINO I failed to recall because tehre have been too fucking many of them? If so, then fuck you.
This is the fucking reason I no longer contribute to you, preferring to send my money directly to candidates and PACs of which I approve. I can no longer trust you because I know that you will fucking do this sort of shit with my fucking money, and then criticize me for questioning you. And I can no longer trust that you will hire competent staffers or campaign managers, since you have proven that you prefer spending my money on titty bars, underage House pages, and whatever else you waste time and money on when you should be FUCKING ADVANCING A CONSERVATIVE AGENDA.
So, GOP leaders, the next time I get a fundraising letter from you, You can take that letter, and you stuff it in your hooker's musky fuckpouch. People such as you don’t have the fucking courage to stand up for true ideas instead of just staying in office. And you fucking know it. And you fucking hate me for my refusal to play your game. So fuck you. Fuck you for your arrogance born out of incompetence. Fuck you for ruining my movement and telling me I should know better. And gigafuck you with a flying fucklaser until you realize that we are the power, not you.
Get fucked, GOP leaders. And get the fuck out of the way so that those of us who want something better than you can have a chance to save the country. And if you don't, this is your employment fate:

FreedomWorks provided some of the recordings of the threatening calls to Whispers and they include physical threats and profanity aimed at the group, Tea Party spokesmen and even conservative talkers. "You guys better watch it," says one caller. "Now, we are going to destroy and obliterate Rush {Limbaugh} and Sean Hannity," said another. "Those two guys are dead."
