I simply don't get his infatuation with Althouse.  The woman is a complete and utter twit (this was evident well before her Obama vote).  She must have compromising photos of him or something.

Of course, I haven't read Insty in ages.  He became a parody of himself and anything might post that's worth looking at, I already have the same or better sources for.

At least he didn't say some version of "How did Obama change so much? He was so moderate" the way Althouse does.

She refuses to admit, even (especially?) to herself that she was taken in by a transparent conman and that the unhelpful types were right all along.
Even worse, Palin was right and she, Althouse, was wrong.
As we all know, Palin is an ignorant snow-billy breeder.
She can't be smarter than Althouse. I mean, someone who shoots gun and stuff can't be smarter than a law prof.

I'm a little surprised the puppy blender hasn't included her in his "Rube self-identifies" series.

I stopped reading her, I used to like her site.
It's a unique niche of left and right, but her refusal to admit that she was duped with her own enthusiastic assistance, and then her post on how nobody could conceive of numbers in billions (trillions? I forget) and don't try to convince her you can because she'll think you're stupid not smart.

When non-math people make ignorant pronouncements about math I lose interest. Admit what you don't know, don't think that just because everybody tells you you're smart that means you know everything.
I don't know if I'd go as far as Heinlein, but I understand the sentiment.

5 I don't know; I seem to remember that Althouse's support of Obama was always very cynical.  She simply assumed that, like Bill Clinton, he'd go all squishy and do whatever the polls told him to do for the sake of self-preservation.  Seeing as McCain often (not always) has a tendency to do whatever he feels like and seeing as how we were, and are, in a precarious position, it kinda-sorta made sense at the time. 

Now, she turned out to be (very, very) wrong: we count ourselves lucky on those rare days when Obama pays attention to the polls and doesn't try to implement his deranged vision (and I remain convinced that he's just colossally incompetent, arrogant, and naive and not an actual Manchurian Candidate).  She's still insightful at times and entertaining at others.
