“I heard the CIO talking to various technology vendors, saying … like, ‘You should give this to us for free because we’re the White House.’ And he actually said that to people,†one source said. A second source said Colangelo continued the practice even after having been confronted about its appropriateness. And how the heck did I miss that the White House CTO's email list was exposed through Google Buzz?
I really want to hate Google, I don't think they're a good company...but I heart my Droid, and I really heart that they pantsed Andrew McLaughlin.

"We've got all sorts of images in the museum, some with cigars and some without. We've even got wartime adverts for cigarettes in the lift down to the air-raid shelter, so we wouldn't have asked for there to be no cigar."Don Robinson, who owned the museum before passing it to a charitable trust 20 years ago, added: "If we'd known we would have said: 'No, it stays as it is.' Everything we do we try to do accurately and the cigar symbolises Churchill."
The alteration of the original image, taken in 1948 during the opening of a new military headquarters, was noticed by David McAdam, a visitor to the museum.
He told the Daily Mail: "I pointed out this crude alteration to a museum steward who said she hadn't noticed the change before, nor had anyone else pointed it out.

Commission chairman Wayne Harris said he and his fellow commissioners made their unanimous decision knowing full well they could be prosecuted for it.h/t PoliticalMath's twitter feed“We made the decision legislatively to break the laws if necessary. We will do whatever it takes to protect our county’s waterways and we’re prepared to go to jail to do it,†he said.
That freed Villani to take several actions deemed important to further armor the Destin pass without waiting for authorization from the state Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee and the unified spill command in Mobile

Arthur Furano voted early — five days before Election Day. And he voted often, flipping the lever six times for his favorite candidate.Furano cast multiple votes on the instructions of a federal judge and the U.S. Department of Justice as part of a new election system crafted to help boost Hispanic representation.
Seriously? Seriously? Could these people be any more fucking irresponsible? Do they really have no idea what kind of internal instability they're gonna create by doing this shit? I knew these people were stupid and dangerous, I wouldn't have guessed they were, "you know, that whole one man, one vote thing is such a bourgeois wingnut outdated concept, let's ditch it," stupid. God help us all.

You have to lift their skirts to find out if they are women.
A couple of things.
1) If there is any bias toward attractive females by party it would be entirely due to the fact that more young, stupid females associate themselves with the Democratic party. The Republican party, on the other hand, is populated by more mature, sexy women that can also talk their way out of a paper bag.
2) I would like my "Official Republican Gender Inspector" t-shirt in a large. I will expect full skirt-lifting cooperation until we can put this unpleasant mess behind us.
3) Janis Sontany calling out Republican woman is like the thing with stupid hair and indeterminate gender calling the thing with stupid hair and indeterminate gender a thing with stupid hair and indeterminate gender.
As they say, you can't put lipstick on a pig... unless the pig's name is Janis Sontany.

And of course, the obligatory MC 900 Foot Jesus video. (No, I'm not particularly fond of their music, but it just fits so well here.)
Update: Oh dear, I had no idea that statue is known as Touchdown Jesus.

Seriously, this is completely and utterly outrageous. Freedom means nothing without the freedom to fuck up. If I want to not exercise and shovel cheese fries down my throat, then it's MY FUCKING LIFE.
I want some kind, any kind, of intellectually coherent explanation as to how it is not the government's business who I eat but it is the government's business what I eat. Good luck finding that.

Obama can't suck the oil up with a straw? I thought being President made you responsible for everyfucking thing that ever happened, including the weather.
And a Democratic congressman physically assaults someone that asks him a question and the narrative is about WHO THEY ARE?
Oh, get fucked and die in a fire you motherfucking stooges. Let me be clear. The narrative is NEVER about who is asking a politician a question. Remember, these people are our EMPLOYEES. Do you get to hit your boss if he asks you what you did yesterday or why?
You know what we should do? We should make a mandatory hour-long question and answer session where the questions are anonymously presented and a voting process raises them to the top. No matter how ridiculous they are, the President has to answer them. He will have them an hour in advance to prepare.
Oh, and now the military catches some armed people trying to enter a Florida Airbase? Why won't they release the names?
Sorry for no links but I'm in a hurry and you all know of what I speak anyway.

President George W. Bush used a lemon-lime snow cone to show that parts of the Gulf Coast remain unaffected by Hurricane Katrina –and that he's fully engaged in the ongoing crisis on a day and a half visit to the region.I may have changed a few words there in order to, well, you know.

And while #1 is a definite concern, and #2 is a possibility, the nation can't afford another two days of Speaker Pelosi, let alone another two years. Sure, with a very narrow majority Pelosi would have a hard time jamming through anything truly abominable, but she'd still control the agenda. Sorry, Ari, but I'm not comfortable with that.
And if we can't get a Republican House majority in 2010 with the shape the nation is in and with all the stupid crap the Obama/Pelosi/Reid triumvirate has inflicted upon us, then the GOP is in deep crap for 2012 anyway.

There is good reason to believe four older female teachers were fired from an upper-crust Fort Lauderdale private school in a bid to replace them with younger, buxom women, a federal civil rights agency has found.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued letters this summer, saying it had determined Brooks had a list of about 25 positions he planned to eliminate, and had repeatedly expressed "his intentions to replace 'all the older women with young women with big boobs.''"
The Rev. William "Dub" Brooks, 58, headmaster of St. Mark's Episcopal School, has been accused by the dismissed teachers of age discrimination. They are demanding their jobs back.
I'm thinking if you are going to try and build your own harem of big boobed women at the office it probably isn't a good idea to brag about it, but on the other hand it may have greatly improved student attendanace.
Yes, it's old. but it's new to me so :-P~~~~~

Some people have no class. Some conservatives suffer from such an acute case of Obama Derangement Syndrome that they can’t even debate the issues of the day with out resorting to childish name-calling.So says Media Matters hack Eric Boehlert, referring to L.A. Times blogger Andrew Malcolm in a lengthy whine (which I'm not going to bother to link) at lefty blog...The Smirking Chimp.
You can't make this stuff up.

President Obama may be from Chicago, but he still needs some help when it comes to cooking up Chicago-style hot dogs. The kicker? According to the article, Payne didn't even bring the ingredients for the Chicago dogs with him. Instead, he gave a grocery list "with all the traditional fixings" to the White House chef. The White House was preparing for its annual congressional picnic for last Tuesday and they wanted Chicago-style hots on the menu. Only catch, the staff didn't know how to make them, reports Lynn Sweet at the Sun-Times.
So the White House staff got in touch with Byron's Hot Dogs owner Mike Payne and flew him to the White House to assist the kitchen staff in preparing hot dogs for Tuesday’s annual congressional picnic.
Um, is it just me, or is that the kind of thing that could be done via phone or e-mail or by looking at a fucking cookbook instead of flying someone several hundred miles across the country?
