ATTENTION ALL MORONS: Big Announcement & Call for Help

As is clearly evident today, most of us are disheartened with the current GOP presidential (and possibly vice presidential) candidate for 2008.  But it gets tiring writing and criticizing the bad within the GOP day in and day out.

To that end, a friend and I have started a new blog to promote conservative candidates.  The new blog is called Down the Ticket, and the URL is www.downtheticket.com.  Right now, we are focusing on 6 candidates for the fall election, and 2 candidates in GOP House primaries.  The fall 2008 candidates include:

- Andy Harris (Md. - 1st)

- Chris Hackett (Pa. - 10th)

- Jason Chaffetz (Utah - 3rd)

- Lou Barletta (Pa. - 11th)

- Tom McClintock (Calif. - 4th)

- Lt. Col. William Russell (Pa. - 12th)

The 2 candidates who still have to win GOP primaries are:

- Rep. Jim Ryun (Kan. - 2nd) - primary on August 5.

- Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell (Alaska - AL) - primary on August 26.

I am open to adding more candidates (including gubernatorial and senate candidates), so if you have any ideas, please leave them in the comments section, and be sure to add Down the Ticket to your blogroll and favorites.  I didn't cough up $15 for a domain name for nothing.

***{doubleplusundead} *Bumped!*  Thanks for the link See-Dub, be sure to offer Vintage any suggestions for conservative candidates you can for Senate, Congress or Governor races****

2 Great idea.  I'll be linking this over at my blog, and also sending some worthy candidates your way as well.

5 I humbly suggest adding John Gard, who is running (again) for Wisconsin's 8th Congressional, held by first-termer 'Rat Steve Kagen.  Back in 2006, Kagen edged Gard for the seat vacated by Mark Green (and his failed gubernatorial run) by less than 6,000 votes, and numerous polls show the district a toss-up.

6 That reminds me, I have to get in touch with the Hackett people about a fundraiser.

7 Jack Hoogendyk's trying to unseat Carl Levin. It's a long shot, but he's good people Jack for Michigan. He also blogs at Core Principles. He's not a bad writer either.

8 Good ideas.  I actually applied for a couple of jobs on Jack's campaign in Michigan.  But, luckily for him, his good sense won out and I didn't get picked.  haha.

9 Rep. Steve Pearce of NM second district was able to knock off RINO Heather Wilson for a run at Pete Domenici's senate seat against uber-lib Tom Udall. Udall is favored to invade the senate and turn a purple state to a deeper shade of blue...
