Because alexthechick refused to post it

and because injury is funny, as evidenced by the side-splitting clip eddiebear posted earlier. Which is infinitely funnier than this one, by the way, but this is still pretty funny.

Hope! Change! More Of The Same!

Who knew Obama would behave just like the Evil Booosh?

President Obama has irked close allies in Congress by declaring he has the right to ignore legislation on constitutional grounds after having criticized George W. Bush for doing the same.

Four senior House Democrats on Tuesday said they were "surprised" and "chagrined" by Obama's declaration in June that he doesn't have to comply with provisions in a war spending bill that puts conditions on aid provided to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

In a signing statement accompanying the $106 billion bill, Obama said he wouldn't allow the legislation to interfere with his authority as president to conduct foreign policy and negotiate with other governments.

Earlier in his six-month-old administration, Obama issued a similar statement regarding provisions in a $410 billion omnibus spending bill. He also included qualifying remarks when signing legislation that established commissions to govern public lands in New York, investigate the financial crisis and celebrate Ronald Reagan's birthday.

You Know A Story Will Be Awesome When It Features The Following Words...

"Torn genitals".

The owner, 28-year-old Olga, agreed to hand over the takings but as she was giving him the money, used her karate skills to knock him to the ground and tie him up with a hairdryer cord.

She then locked him in the storeroom and told colleagues she'd call the police.

However, she instead stripped him and cuffed him to a heater with a pair of fluffy pink handcuffs.

She then fed him Viagra and raped him several times over the next four days.

When finally released, Viktor went first to hospital for treatment for his torn frenulum, and then reported Olga to the police. When she was arrested, Olga reported him for robbery.

"What a b......," she complained.

"Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I've bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1000 roubles when he left."

From The "What The Fuck Is This"? Files

People tossing sharks onto the road?

The shark was on Northwest Fifth Avenue near Fourth Street since at least 7 p.m., witnesses said, but police said they first received a call around 9 p.m.

"It was a relief that it was a shark," said Keith Smith, a local resident. "When I first saw it, I thought it was a body because of all the shootings that have been going on. I was surprised and happy because of my concern for human life."

Miami police couldn't immediately dispose of the shark. They first had to determine whether it was a protected Florida species, a classification that can bring serious charges to anyone who kills it without a license.

Officers at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission determined the shark was a nurse shark. And as they prepared to take the shark away, a passerby told cops just how the shark got there.

Renato Martinez, 53, works at Garcia's, the fish wholesalers and restaurant on the Miami River. He said two men biked to the store, and offered to sell the shark for $10.

Absolutely not, the staff told the men. Those men must have dumped the shark in the middle of the street, Martinez concluded.

"I'm not crazy," Martinez said. "I know it's the same shark."

Seriously, What. The Fuck?

Guy who can't win PA Senate seat within 1 pt in poll

When "Benedict" Arlen Specter switched parties there was a massive recruitment effort on the part of the PA-GOP and the NRSC to recruit some other Republican candidate "who can win" to challenge Pat Toomey.

Well, the latest Quinnipiac Poll has Specter 45 to Toomey 44. The same poll also shows Toomey ahead of Specter's Democratic primary challenger Rep. Joe Sestak 39 to 35.

So, to those frantically trying to recruit Tom Ridge, Bill Scranton, or State Sen Jane Orie, or trying to get Rep. Gerlach to switch from the Gov race to the Senate race, you can officially get bent now. We've got our guy, and he knows how to win with a conservative message tailored to persuade independents.

Get a summary of the poll here, follow news and analysis at PaWatercooler.com, GrassrootsPA.com, and PoliticsPA.com.

George Orwell, rolling, grave, etc.

"Anarchy In The U.K." is looking less and less like a petulant punk stance and more and more like a valid rallying cry...

Little-noticed measures passed by the Government will allow officers and Olympics officials to enter homes and shops near official venues to confiscate any protest material.
See, this is why we have an actual written Constitution that guarantees our freedoms as citizens against government encroachment on those rights.

Oh, wait...

Through the Looking Glass

While others waste their time conspiracy-mongering about the Obama birth certificate, a great and hideous cabal works its nefarious will to alter the United States in ways we cannot possibly imagine, spearheaded by the Republican arch villain Karl Rove.

I speak, of course, about the ongoing efforts to sell southern California to China, which is happening under our noses and with the express written consent of the NFL.

When I tell people about this conspiracy, they inevitably pass through three phases:  disbelief, followed by ridicule, and finally spittle-flecked outrage at this plan.

Read on and prepare your salivary glands, my friends.

Did she really fucking say that?!

I so wanna put Sonia Sotomayor and Ted Nugent in a boxing ring. She can fail to defend herself while he pummels the daylights out of her.

And no, you liberal fucking fascists, I'm not advocating domestic violence or battering women. I just want Sotomayor to live up to her very own wise Latina woman's brilliant legal retarditude.

In reply, Sotomayor said that, “I’m trying to think if I remember a case where the Supreme Court has addressed that particular question. Is there a constitutional right to self-defense? And I can’t think of one. I could be wrong, but I can’t think of one.” She then went on to explain that self-defense rights are usually defined by state law.”

Thank heavens for Tom Coburn, asking the questions that shouldn't be hard for any logical person with any Constitutional knowledge whatsoever. Too bad this isn't going to make any mainstream news outlets; they're all too busy doing their hard-hitting reporting on the cannabis iPhone app and a 600-pound turtle.

Got £350,000 lying around?

If so, you might want to invest in this cool WWII bunker that a British developer converted into a vacation home. Since it's a converted bunker, it's got one feature that most other homes don't:

"It's just like an ordinary four-bedroom bungalow, it's not dark or anything. But it's very secure. There could be a zombie attack and nothing would get in."
And since we all know that the end is nigh, that could come in handy.

You may or may not know that I do most of my blogging from work and now they've locked down the internet tighter than a jimmy-hat so I can't even comment here.

Lame.  All the more reason for me to make some anticipated career changes sooner rather than later.  After all, how can I deprive you lovely morons of my wit and charm on a daily basis?

I know, dastardly.

BHO/HRC double down on moronic Honduras policy

GranmaPravda Reuters reports:

The United States has warned Honduras' de facto government it could face cuts in economic aid if it fails to reach a deal with ousted President Manuel Zelaya on restoring democratic rule. The government that took power when Zelaya was toppled in a June 28 coup has flatly refused to allow his return to power, and negotiations mediated by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias collapsed on Sunday.
Well, if anybody had listened to a wise Latino jurist on this subject, they'd learn that there was not a "coup", but a constitutional removal of this shitbag Zelaya initiated by the Honduran Supreme Court, endorsed by the democratically elected legislature, and executed by the civilian-controlled military, with elections still scheduled for the fall.  The Micheletti government is not just the de facto regime, but the de jure rulers.

In case anybody missed the fact that Zelaya is the bad guy here, he illegally tried to promote a flatly unconstituional referendum to remove his term limit, and he planned to steal the election Chavez-style.

If Obama and Secretary Cankles were trying to convince me they weren't a bunch of revolutionary socialists they're doing a bad job right now.

More from the wise Latino jurist, Miguel Estrada
Indeed, after reviewing the Constitution and consulting with the Supreme Court, the Congress and the electoral tribunal, respected Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga recently stated that the only possible conclusion is that Zelaya had lawfully been ousted under Article 239 before he was arrested, and that democracy in Honduras continues fully to operate in accordance with law. All Honduran bishops joined Rodriguez in this pronouncement.
And now, the O-bots are doubling down on stupid, threatening to remove aid to Honduras. Meanwhile, Kim Jong-Il continues to suck down perfectly good oxygen.

How fucking stupid are these people?

Once Again, I Am Proud Of My State's Junior Senator

Fuck you, Claire McCaskill. Fuck you. Nice to see you can handle a few middle-age hecklers.

Her statement:

I think we learned from Friday and will do better in the future. In return I hope those that are protesting refrain from banging on the windows and doors continuously. Thanks so much.

And yet, the ACORN thugs who helped you steal the 2006 election due to vote fraud love to protest in front of the private residences of AIG executives and cause trouble everywhere they go. The Union thugs who support you storm offices and attack Republican workers and slash the tires of the workers' vehicles and cause trouble everywhere they go. The Code Pink shiteheads who support you have vandalized military recruiting stations and cause trouble everywhere they go. But protests by your opponents at your offices? I guess you can't handle return fire.

What a difference a word makes

Bias in the news media is hardly limited to the press here in the States, as the opening paragraph of this AFP article about an attempt to break a record for the world's biggest cheesecake demonstrates:

Palestinians with a sweet-tooth gathered on Saturday around a giant syrupy cheesecake treat they hope will set a new Guinness world record in their occupied West Bank city.
Anybody notice the one little unnecessary word that they included there? The one that has nothing to do with the cheesecake or the record?

Moron Corrections Department, Overpriced Ham Edition

Fuck! And I thought we had us an awesome scandal to get worked up about.

The references to "2 pound frozen ham sliced" are to the sizes of the packaging. Press reports suggesting that the Recovery Act spent $1.191 million to buy "2 pounds of ham" are wrong. In fact, the contract in question purchased 760,000 pounds of ham for $1.191 million, at a cost of approximately $1.50 per pound. In terms of the dairy purchase referenced, USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA) purchased 837,936 pounds of mozzarella cheese and 4,039,200 pounds of processed cheese. The canned pork purchase was 8,424,000 pounds at a cost of $16,784,000, or approximately $1.99 per pound.
