A Mississauga man got caught by Northumberland OPP Saturday after another driver complained about a speeding car with a driver watching a porno movie.
Yup, the caller complained the man, alone in his car, had an X-rated movie playing on a portable DVD player in the car's front seat, police said.
Police caught up with the man around 12:39 a.m. along Hwy. 401 in Port Hope.
OPP Const. Chris Dewsbury said the car was clocked at around 140 km/h along the 100 km/h road.
Officers noticed evidence the driver was possibly impaired and a breathalyzer test was administered but he blew within the legal limit, police said.
Fucking fascists!

That bad boy is "The Smoker," which falls into the former category. It's described as:
A half pound ground ribeye, sirloin, prime rib patty topped with Havarti cheese, seven pieces of maple bacon, sauteed onions and smoked pepper mayo.Want like burning.

The government is considering confiscating privately-owned Palestinian land near the West Bank settlement of Ofra, contrary to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's pledge during his Bar-Ilan speech not to take such actions.I'm going to guess this isn't the serious self-reflection that Obama was hoping for.
...
The announcement, signed by senior assistant state prosecutor Avi Licht, says the state is considering turning the site into a regional sewage treatment plant that would serve both Ofra and the nearby Palestinian communities.

the media in the States is much more to the right. I mean there is almost no liberal outlet for news commentary or editorializing."I suppose when you're to the left of...well, everyone, it might seem like you have no outlet. I'm starting to think this is just a ploy to keep her appearing somewhere, as she hasn't been funny enough to book appearances based on her comedy in a very long time.

BACKGROUND:
In a small city in the Mississippi Delta, a board of aldermen were meeting to discuss the agenda and vote on motions. One alderman, Mala Brooks, wasn't happy about an item on the agenda. She launched into a long diatribe as a stalling tactic, despite Mayor Lowe's numerous attempts to move forward after a motion had been adopted. When she was deemed out of order, the Mayor asked for her removal from the meeting. (scroll to around 5:00 minutes to get to the beginning of the drama)
It should be noted that Alderman Brooks' mother was the former mayor of Leland and was defeated by the recently elected Mayor Lowe.]
PART II:
Here is her dramatic temper tantrum in all its glory. WARNING: Racist language is used in this clip by Alderman Brooks.
So in order to avoid having to vote on immediate repayment of over $11,000 in unauthorized and unaccounted for expense checks written to her mother and herself, Alderman Mala Brooks (aka our Moron of the Day) screams for nearly 15 minutes that she hasn't done anything wrong and she's not leaving. The board voted unanimously that repayment be immediate.
Mississippi Delta politics - it doesn't get any better than this, folks.

1. Opposing counsel's argument is as stupid as he is ugly.
2. Dude. Seriously. Dude.
3. Oh COME ON! The Defendant was drunk off his ass, ran a red light and smashed into a little old lady. I kind of think the jury's going to side with us here. Did I mention she was on her way to help run the refreshment stand at the parish picnic when the drunk ran the red light and smashed into her? We're sooooo gonna win.
4. I don't care what the precedent says, the Superior Court was doing the bad monkey crack when it issued that ruling.
5. Why should we win this Motion? Because I said so is why.
This list brought to you by the fact that if I write "it is respectfully submitted" one more time today when I really mean "but they're WRONG and STUPID" I'm gonna snap.

On Friday, Democrats moved one step closer to giving free health insurance to the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens when they successfully defeated a Republican-backed amendment, offered by Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care under the proposed plan backed by House Democrats and President Barack Obama. If this comes as a surprise, take a gander at what Sen. Robert Menendez (D-DestroyingOurEconomente) purportedly said at a La Raza healthcare conference:
...Yes [they said they would get free health care for illegal aliens], these are my notes, Mark. They actually got up and said "Latino children need health care more than whites". And then they would say things like "you must go out into your communities, use words like 'streamline', use phrases like 'all workers' and 'all families'," because they said -- and I quote -- "If the American people find out that this bill is about giving health care to non-citizens, they will rise up against it."Oh, and What. The. Fuck?!
...One of the quotes they said was, "We want to make sure we take care of barriers like verification, but we can streamline programs to the more affluent" and, quote, "Useless treatments for the elderly can be gone because we don't need to spend money for people who are going to die anyway."
That's a direct quote from that meeting. They also said, "We are very concerned there will be an effort to include" the illegal immigrants in this argument, so "we must make sure that we focus this" to the American people that it's looking like we want "health care for everyone".
And they also said that 75% of the children who will be picked up in this will be non-citizens and that 44% of the uninsured are non-citizens and they can't possibly allow the American people to know this."

Never mind the CBO, I'm guessing there's a multiplier that directly corresponds to the number of boxes on that diagram that will tell us how much Obamacare is going to cost in relation to current healthcare costs, and that multiplier is greater than one.
h/t Rep. Jason Chaffetz's twitterfeed for the big scary diagram.

Please let this fuckstick find out that you just might get what you ask for (even if it's in sarcasm). Especially when it involves conjuring up the Dark Lord Cheney.
May I presume that Mr. Cheney will be remunerated in his customary way: a gunnysack filled with unblemished human heads?
Oh, if you only knew what you are bringing upon you with that crack. And I would pay extra to see your head att he top of the sack.

On Friday, on a "Conservatives for Patients Rights" conference call with conservative activists dealing with health care reform, Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., said, as Ben Smith at Politico reported, "If we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."You should expect to hear that quote this week from the White House as they use it to rally their troops, a White House official tells ABC News.
A message to "the troops" Obama wants to rally, especially his most die hard supporters:

First, that no matter how long my association with the blogging community in fact because of that long association - it is even more important that I disclose any professional relationship with any candidate or issue I blog about or comment on.
I have failed to do that - I apologize for not doing it. And it will not happen again.
This failure was mine completely - how I didn't see it or in my own words how I didn't "get it" is beyond me - but I do now - and I will not fail in disclosing my professional relationships with candidates or the causes I believe in or work for in the future.
Second and just as important to me personally is the recent disrespect shown by sockpuppeting. And I take full responsibility and apologize completely for this as well. It is no excuse that I knew nothing about it - I promise you I did not. And yes it took bringing it to my attention before I looked into it.
But once I did it became clear to me that interns and a few staff who are my responsibility did create seven DailyKos accounts - two of which were never used but five of which were used to comment and post diaries here for the same candidates I was working for, sockpuppeting the same things I was saying here and elsewhere. This is so unacceptable that I cannot believe it happened - but it did.
Glenn Greenwald/Wilson/Thomas Ellers is unimpressed.
