Legal search and seizure, my ass...or his ass, anyway

I can't believe that at no point during all this did anyone - a doctor, a medical tech, a law enforcement officer - step forward and say, "Uh, maybe, just maybe we're crossing a line here."

Clement, 35, who police claim had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court in a neighboring city, was handcuffed and taken to a police station where he was strip-searched. No contraband was found, so Clement was taken to Albany Med, where doctors forcibly sedated him with powerful drugs against his will.

Sheriff's investigators did not obtain a search warrant for the procedure, and hospital officials did not require them to produce one. Police and hospital officials considered the matter a "medical emergency."

While Clement was under sedation, a camera was inserted in his rectum, he was forced to vomit and his blood and urine were tested for drugs and alcohol. Scans of his digestive system were performed using X-ray machines, according to hospital records obtained by the Times Union.

Prepare to have your childhood raped

Slow news day.  And I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the move about fifteen seconds in just isn't appropriate for the twelve-and-under crowd, as the dude at Geekologie mentioned it too.

House GOP Report: ACORN a criminal enterprise

ElectionJournal informs us of a report issued by Republicans on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform alleging that ACORN is intentionally structured as a criminal enterprise.

The highlights:

  • voter registration fraud
  • embezzlement
  • breaching fiduciary duties by covering up embezzlement
  • breaching corporate duties by failing to follow bylaws
  • noncompliance with the IRS; both using tax dollars for political purposes as well as filing false statements with the IRS
ACORN criminal? Who knew?

Let's make sure these guys have a role in the census!

Claire McCaskill (Dumbfuck-MO) Is A Gay Bashing, Gun Grabbing Imbecile

 Her own words prove it.

In comments made after her vote against the 2nd amendment provision, McCaskill said, “this is a foot in the door that would require, for example, the laws in Vermont on gay marriage to be enforced in Missouri.”

Now, first of all, if you are opposed to the reciprocity of Concealed Carry, that's fine. But what relevance did gay marriage in Vermont have to do with  this?  Just engaging in a little gay baiting to appease the backwater rubes in Sedalia or Hayti, Senator?

Also, IIRC, the reciprocity only applied to states which also had a "shall issue" CCW law on the books, so if a state didn't allow CCW, I couldn't bring my concealed weapon into that state. This goes for McCaskill's Gay Marriage analogy. Vermont? Fine. Whatever. But Missouri? We do not have a law on the books allowing gay marriage, so for now, the issue of MO having to accept a VT gay marriage license is moot until MO allows gay marriage.

So, Senator, what the fuck is your problem? Trying to justify a vote to us hayseeds back home is one thing, but to insult people without knowledge of what you are talking about is another. And I really want to hear the response from the various gay rights groups in MO that helped her win election. I'm sure the condemnation from them over this statement will rival a rock concert.

FDA going after electronic cigs

They're saying that they have traces of toxic chemicals in the nicotine solution.  Okay, but aren't they still leagues better than cigarettes anyway?  Why do I have a feeling that they're going to use this as an excuse to ban, regulate or tax the hell out of e-cigs?

Some Insight Into The O-Care Bill Obama Claims He Hasn't Read

Dude, this is some seriously fucked up shit.

Note: This guy is putting his own comments in with the facts, and I am too lazy to highlight which is which. Anyway, here goes, and behold a random sample of the craziness that would ensue:

United Airlines taking PR hit over broken guitar

Now, I dunno that I'd put the entire 10% drop in stock price on Dave Carroll's youtube song like the article, given the crappy economy, but it certainly doesn't help at all.  The video has had over 3 million hits thus far, so it's definitely being seen by a whole of of potential United Airlines customers.  BTW, the guitar was $3,500, so this wasn't some cheap junker, either.

Obama Motors Treats Its Union Brethren Well By Outsourcing Their Jobs

Meh. I would feel more sorry for these guys, but they sided with Obama, and pushed for his plan to take over GM.

Montana’s U.S. delegation was quick to criticize a bankruptcy judge’s decision to allow General Motors Co. to drop its precious metals contract with Columbus (MT)-based Stillwater Mining. GM will instead get its palladium and rhodium, used to make catalytic converters, from suppliers in Russia and South Africa.

Heh. Too. Fucking. Bad.

"I don't know all the facts"

After saying that (which, I might add, the AP clip below omits) about the arrest of Professor Henry Louis Gates of Harvard, President Awesome Obama had the following to say...

That's right.  Even though he doesn't know the facts in the case (which might include Gates acting belligerently toward the police), the cops "acted stupidly."

I hope members of law enforcement unions who backed this jackass during the election were watching that.

Screw the Mayans

While at the theater this afternoon to see the newest Harry Potter film, I saw a preview for an upcoming piece of crap titled 2012.   How can I be so certain it will suck?  Let me count the ways:

It's directed by Roland Emmerich, who should be in prison for crimes against celluloid.  Bastard.  He's spent over a half-billion dollars making three of the worst movies ever (Godzilla, Day after Tomorrow, and the execrable 10,000 BC).

It's a disaster movie, which were pretty much all tapped out in the late 70's.

It's directed by Roland Emmerich, whose talent for destroying movies has only been thwarted once thanks to Will Smith, who is a latter-day David Hasselhoff.  Smith even overcame a smirking Jeff Goldblum, though it's not clear how this was done (I suspect performnace-enhancing drugs).

It stars John Cusak, the least-talented of the Cusak acting clan/crime family.

It was written by Roland Emmerich, which ensures that it will conform to the same rigorous accuracy and believeability we've come to enjoy in his other films, like The Patriot or TDAT.

It's based on a Mayan prophecy that the world will end in 2012, which gets much play from conspiracy theorists who believe that aliens built all the ancient civilizations.  Stupid Mayans.

Did I mention it has the big dirty fingerprints of the worst director currently working, Roland Emmerich?  Did you know he once cast Ferris Buller as the lead in a monster movie?

So please, please, please avoid this movie at all costs.  I got stupider just watching the trailer for it.

Anybody watching this crapfest?

He just spent nearly ten minutes "answering" the first question without, you know, actually answering the question.  Rarely have I ever seen someone so in love with the sound of his own voice.

Someone make sure to wake me up in three and a half years, m'kay?

Remember the 52 to 48 hipster fucktards?  I'm tempted right now to post my fat, ugly Yankee mug with my head tilted to the side and a sign saying "Dear 40, Sorry, we won't let you destroy the American medical system, you sniveling commie pukes, Love 52."

Dandified, Foppish NY Times House Conservative Never Fails To Drink From The Toilet Bowl Of FAIL

David Brooks must believe that if he just overwhelms us with wave after wave of stupidity, we'll just give up and walk away. I mean, how the fuck can you explain this prepackaged pile of shit (warning: NYT Link)?

We’re only in the early stages of the liberal suicide march, but there already have been three phases. First, there was the stimulus package. You would have thought that a stimulus package would be designed to fight unemployment and stimulate the economy during a recession {you would. If dumbfuck idiots like you and the rest of the Yachting Club Cocktail Partry Set were kept away from the levers of power-ed.} But Congressional Democrats used it as a pretext to pay for $787 billion worth of pet programs with borrowed money. Only 11 percent of the money will be spent by the end of the fiscal year — a triumph of ideology over pragmatism {and somebody who claims to be as smart as you do was/is surprised? I hereby revoke my daughter's application package to Yale-ed.}.

Then there is the budget. Instead of allaying moderate anxieties about the deficits, the budget is expected to increase the government debt by $11 trillion between 2009 and 2019 {with help from your beloved Moderate RINOs, I might add. But don't let details get in the way of your fantasy world-ed.}.

Finally, there is health care. Every cliché Ann Coulter throws at the Democrats is gloriously fulfilled by the Democratic health care bills {and that's a bad thing? You are upset that a woman who has more of a pair of balls than you do is willing to fight Obama? Color me shocked!-ed.}. The bills do almost nothing to control health care inflation. They are modeled on the Massachusetts health reform law that is currently coming apart at the seams precisely because it doesn’t control costs. They do little to reward efficient providers and reform inefficient ones {yaknow, maybe you should have researched the bill a little bit instead of relying upon soiled cocktail napkins for your talking points-ed.}.

The House bill adds $239 billion to the federal deficit during the first 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office. It would pummel small businesses with an 8 percent payroll penalty. It would jack America’s top tax rate above those in Italy and France. Top earners in New York and California would be giving more than 55 percent of earnings to one government entity or another {yeah. And us rubes out here in flyover country knew this all along, but did you "smart" people listen? Nooooo-ed}.

Nancy Pelosi has lower approval ratings than Dick Cheney and far lower approval ratings than Sarah Palin {but more plastic in her body that Liberace playing with a wiffle ball bat. But I digress-ed.}. And yet Democrats have allowed her policy values to carry the day — this in an era in which independents dominate the electoral landscape {Funny. When you elect a party that has as its leaders hard core socialists, shit like this happened. Who Knew?-ed}.

Who’s going to stop this leftward surge {I dunno. Is this multiple choice? What about Dick Cheney's Wang. I always like that as my first choice-ed}? Months ago, it seemed as if Obama would lead a center-left coalition. Instead, he has deferred to the Old Bulls on Capitol Hill on issue after issue {No. He is leading them, since they are in agreement on most issues-ed}.

Machiavelli said a leader should be feared as well as loved {oohh! You read "The Prince". So did I. What the fuck is your point? You going to quote Aristotle next?-ed.}. Obama is loved by the Democratic chairmen, but he is not feared {yes he is. By the taxpayers-ed.}. On health care, Obama has emphasized cost control {where? Prove it. And don't just regurgitate White House Talking Points-ed}. The chairmen flouted his priorities because they don’t fear him. On cap and trade, Obama campaigned against giving away pollution offsets. The chairmen wrote their bill to do precisely that because they don’t fear him. On taxes, Obama promised that top tax rates would not go above Clinton-era levels {And you believed him? Who's the imbecile?-ed}. The chairmen flouted that promise because they don’t fear him {no. These bills reflect his true beliefs. He even promised to raise our electricity bills. You must have been tag teaming at the Regatta with George WIll the day that was mentioned.-ed.}.

Gah! I can't take any more. You get the point. It appears as old "Brooksie" is all upset that a Socialist President and Socialist Speaker of the House are running the Democrat Party. And yet, these Democrat "Moderates" come from the Red States. Would Brooks be happier allowing Heath Shuler to run the DNC? I doubt it.

Hoist On Their Own Retard.

Mike at Cold Fury's been harshing my mellow since at least some time in 2002 and maybe earlier, I'm not sure when I found his blog. If you're not reading him you should be. He doesn't post all that much, but when he gets off a good one, he really gets off a good ope.

In this post he links to an American Thinker article that points out something that should be hit hard, hit often and shouted from the rooftops, considering the current health care "debate". I am a little upset I didn't think about it.

Ted Kennedy is 76 and has brain cancer, life expectancy is around 78.
Quote from the American Thinker article
Is Senator Kennedy's life valuable enough to dedicate millions of dollars to extending it another month, another day, another year?

We've been told that there must be some realistic valuation. Remember the article from last week about how if you only have 6 months to live the gov't should let you die instead of spending money to keep you alive for only a short time?

Let's introduce this into the health care "debate" and demand that, since Teddy is all in favor of the gov't being in charge and therefore de facto in favor of rationing, he should set an example for all of us and just die.

That way he wouldn't be "wasting" valuable health care resources that could be used for a woman who's buying food for her kids instead of health care.

Uh-oh

Yes, that's right, DPUD lives up to his moron status and gave me the keys.
Big mistake/ahnuld voice

So I've been thinking. My first post at Doubleplusundead has to be serious, it has to be momentous, it has to be important and most important of all, it has to have the word "Fuck" in it.

So, DPUD told me if I joined up I would get to see the pics that prove that alexthechick is really a chick. So who has them? Please don't tell me it's moronpundit or Alice H. I've been kinda rude to them lately.

Update: Fuck.
