To get it up for a Hamas babe, you need, well...

special erotic chewing gum.

Nothing even remotely like this ever happens in the US. All news organizations are completely independent of politics and would never be so much as shunned for less than favorable news coverage of the President's office.

I shit you not. Pardon me if I'm wrong, but wasn't his attitude in this speech (as well as the pessimistic outlook contained therein) one of the many things that helped kill his chances at reelection?
But since New Jesus mirrors Jimmy Carter in so many ways, I guess that means that Carter, and everything he did as President, must have been super duper double awesome as well.
Anyway, consider this your Monday morning dose of ULTRAFAIL.
P.S. - I should also mention that in addition to this article, an article bashing Palin appears above the fold, while the Sotomayor hearings get one paragraph below the fold. I didn't watch any of it, but I suppose that means she didn't do very well.

This is no small thing, mind you. The piling-up of petty complaints is an important aspect of conservative movement culture. For those who believe that American life consists of the trampling of Middle America by the "elites" -- that our culture is one big insult to the pious and the patriotic and the traditional -- Sarah Palin's long list of unfair and disrespectful treatment is one of her most attractive features. Like Oliver North, Robert Bork, and Clarence Thomas, she is known not for her ideas but as a martyr, a symbol of the culture-war crimes of the left. But of course. She has no ideas. I mean, just to pick one of her non-ideas, she has never advocated expanded oil drilling as a way to make America more independent from foreign sources of oil.
Frank goes on to claim that Palin was set up as "a candidate on a cross" for the kind of rubes he has based his career on:
Resentment was, for example, the most-noticed theme in her famous speech at the Republican convention in September, when she introduced herself to America by taking umbrage at those Democrats who "seem to look down on" small-town ways.Um...
Since you're a public figure, what with your bestselling book and your column in the WSJ and all, would you be happy if a lot of people throughout the MSM repeatedly suggested that you were stupid?
If someone was to suggest that you had behaved in an unethical manner while writing your books or columns without any basis, would you be upset?
If MSM organizations flew teams into your hometown to investigate your every last move, would you feel like you were being singled out?
If a bunch of batshit crazy conspiracy theorists scrutinized the birth of your kids and publicized their insane theories, is that something you might object to?
(thanks to eddie)

Customers who arrive on bicycle or who can prove they took public transportation get a 5-euro ($7) discount from the usual 70-euro ($100) fee for 45 minute sessions, Mr Goetz said. He said the environmentally friendly offer was working a charm.I'm not sure if I'd feel like bicycling or taking the bus after a really good workout of that sort, though.

I seriously need a category to list all the stuff I see like this...
Anyway, here is another totally awesome and absolutely terrifying step toward the automated annihiliation of the human race:
A Maryland company under contract to the Pentagon is working on a steam-powered robot that would fuel itself by gobbling up whatever organic material it can find — grass, wood, old furniture, even dead bodies.
This robot would need us for what exactly?
An artists rendition:

Moron Pundit earned the honor of being first against the wall.

If that's the epitaph for good, decent mothers in politics, well, we're a smaller, meaner nation for it.
I'll add that I don't think her political career is over but admit that I think 95% of that belief is fed by hope and not clear-thinking rationalism.
In sadness, my gut tells me that the visceral negativity surrounding the mere mention of her name from certain circles has poisoned her forever.
But then, my optimistic side says, if that were the case wouldn't that also be true for the Republican party in general?
We shall see. All I know is that I'd welcome her as my VP in 2016.

Update: OK, I've figured out what is bothering me so freaking much about this. The MassHealth program has a FY2010 budget of $10.318 billion. The cost of shutting down the zoos is $9 million over three years, the cost of keeping the zoos open is $13 million a year (from state funds - I'm certain they're receiving some sort of private donations). Now I'm not usually a person to argue that an animal's life is worth more than a humans, but I'd be willing to bet that at least one half of one percent of the people sucking up MassHealth dollars are perfectly capable of getting up off their lazy asses and getting a job and finding healthcare on their own, but choose to rely on the state to do it for them instead. That one half of one percent would pay for five years of life for animals who did nothing to humans other than stand around and get captured. The Franklin Park Zoo, a Boston institution that has drawn generations of city and suburban families, might be forced to close its doors and possibly euthanize some of its animals as a result of the deep budget cuts imposed by Governor Deval Patrick, zoo officials said Friday.
Without more state funding, those zoo officials said, they will run out of money by October and have to close both the Franklin Park Zoo and its smaller counterpart, the Stone Zoo in Stoneham. They would lay off most of their 165 employees and attempt to find new homes for more than 1,000 animals, the officials said. The zoo officials, in a written statement that echoed a letter sent earlier to legislative leaders, said they would be unlikely to find homes for at least 20 percent of the animals, “requiring either destroying them, or the care of the animals in perpetuity.â€

OK, that's not really what got him axed. What really got him axed through a write-in-campaign that resulted in him scoring less than 2% of the vote is that he's a Holocaust denier, one who has such disdain for Holocaust survivors that he calls their accounts "tragicomic". And he's a troofer, although that is getting much less press as it's easier to tie someone to their direct words than it is to tie them to a public access show that doesn't seem to be available to view unless you actually tune in to the show.
After attending Dartmouth, he obtained a master's degree at American University in Beirut, where he also met his wife, who is Palestinian, and became more sympathetic the Arab view of the conflict with Israel. So either he was tuning in to Palestinian Children's Television too often or his wife has a really special vagina.
"I found I had it all upside down," he said.
If there's any doubt in anyone's mind about whether this cretin whose cumdumpster mother left the best part of him drying on her thigh after the gangbang is a conservative who just went off the deep end, look here.
And, um, holy crap, when did MSNBC turn into a lying hatefest? Oh, wait.
