Climate Change: Poor, minority women hardest hit.

No, really.

Women in developing countries will be the most vulnerable to climate change, a report from the UN Population Fund warns.

This keeps up much longer and news editor's faces will be hardest hit.

By me.

With a pool cue.

Oh, now I get it.  It was because the popular girls didn't let you sit at their table during lunch.

Is this sexist?  Yeah.  Is it correct?  I think so.

Scotland Yard bans police from using term gang rape to describe gang rape

Why?  Because apparently some community organizers in the UK said the term was RaaaaaaaaaaacistTM.  We have a FAIL Britannia! tag for a reason.

Remember When Dubya Was Accused Of Burying And Spiking Bad Environemntal News?

Yeah, well, look at what cbullitt found. It appears that the Manbearpig following, car hating, no bathing assholes have been busy little beavers themselves.

So, what did they find?

Dear Ray, Mike and Malcolm,
Once Tim’s got a diagram here we’ll send that either later today or
first thing tomorrow.
I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps
to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from
1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.
Mike’s series got the annual
land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land
N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999
for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with
data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.
Thanks for the comments, Ray.

Cheers

Phil

Keith is Keith Briffa, of the (single) Yamal tree core(s). Mike is Michael Mann, who first came up with the “hockey stick”–which Briffa’s (now thoroughly discredited) tree proxy rescued for a time.  It would appear, to me at least, the CRU was manufacturing data to support its position that a massive tax scheme was needed to save us from heat death by CO2.

Fuck you, enviro-weenies! Fuck you with the data you were hiding. Fuck you up your goatse with a carbon biased guinea pig. You fuckers knew that you were full of shit, then tried to cover it up. I have nothing more to add, since these guys own words are more damning than anything I could ever dream up to write. So just fuck off, and take your bullshit data with you.

Thanks to cbullitt and a comment from MCPO at H2.

Eastern Jive?

I say this is a smack in the face and Obama just took it and didn't even realize he got it.
And then Lee, who practices tae kwon do himself, presents Obama with a coveted black belt.

So Lee (update, I edited out the part that said he was the President of South Korea) is into tae kwon do and he gives out a black belt like a prize in a Cracker Jack box to Obama? A man who only kicks people figuratively.

Click the link, check out the picture, the guy is laughing his ass off at Obama.
Our allies are scoring points on him now.

That's funny.
No, that's very fucking funny. Obama has absolutely no idea he was just punked.
Tool.
What's next? France giving him the Croix de Guerre? Germany giving him the Iron Cross?
Rome'll make him a cardinal and maybe Poland will name him next in line for the throne.
Hell, make him Emperor of the Moon. He bombed it after all.

It's much preferred to him pissing off allies or having dictators scoring points on him so it has that going for it too.

Yeah, Hot Air Headlines link, I hate using the obvious ones. Oh well, when your muse hits you, you stay hit.

Oh. My.

While this post actually is rather interesting about the jurisdiction and powers of the tax court, it's the first comment that really makes it a winner.

Let's just say that someone must have run out of tinfoil.

Did he really say that?

Yeah, it's a Politico link, so sue DPUD.
I'll take Politico with a grain of salt, but I want to believe this dammit.
So some Lawn Gisland Dem in a "safe" district thought the election was in the bag (I guess he didn't see a need for ACORN)
Quote
I had no idea,” he said of the run-up to the vote. “Both my polling and public polling and just the general reception I got from people in the street was, ‘Don’t worry about it , you’re a shoo-in.’”
His first indication of the upset came, he said, when he went to close the polling place in his hometown of Glen Cove and found that turnout was down about 25 percent, leaving him down about 2,000 votes.
“And I thought, 'Wouldn’t it be amazing if I lost,'” he said. It was the first time the thought had crossed his mind. “It was like a joke.”

First, Heh.
Second, check out why he thinks he's behind in the counting and recounting of votes
Suozzi said he detected a certain exhaustion in voters and cited Arthur Schlesinger’s theory about "cycles" in American history that alternate between periods of public spirit and of private interest. His sense: Voters are withdrawing from the public sphere.
... ‘Hey, I just want to take care of me and my family,’” he said. “People are not listening to those speeches any more — they’re kind of burnt out.”

Get it? The damn selfish voters want to just take care of their families too much to do what our political, social, intellectual and moral betters want.

Heh. Rarely have I seen so perfectly encapsulated exactly why people hate the gov't right now. The gov't is mad because they know best and we proles keep demanding our "rights" and stuff.

I've changed from my "100% turnover in Congress and the White House" to "100% turnover in all elected offices everywhere".
Screw em all.
Even the freaking dog catchers.
(Although I could be talked into not including people like Sheriff Joe Arpaio on that. I have to respect a county sheriff who tells the Feds to go screw).

Half of GOP think ACORN stole the election?

Politicalwire reports:

A new Public Policy Polling survey finds that 52% of Republican voters nationally think that ACORN stole the Presidential election for Barack Obama last year, with only 27% granting that he won it legitimately. Is that just delusional? Probably. But it now makes sense that Doug Hoffman is playing up the ACORN conspiracy theory in the NY-23 special election.
Ok, that's just sad. Not as sad as the continuing efforts to establish Obama's constitutional ineligibility for one reason or another (-and let me tell you, the conspiracy theories are still mutating and proliferating on the email chains), but still pretty sad.

Of course, I completely believe that ACORN fraud was attempted on a massive scale, and accomlished on a somewhat smaller scale, but it was in no way determinative for the election. ACORN as a civic organization has been --or at least should be, if it has not been-- completely deligitimized.

But the bastard won. Period.

Folks need to accept that a clear majority voted for Obama. If we want any chance of winning elections in the future we need to squelch the magical thinking that Obama will just go away. Such thinking only distracts from the real work and thought that needs to be done in order to start repairing conservatives' relationship with the electorate.

Captain Awesome Loves The Troops. Just Ask Him.

While Presiednt Obamabean waits to see if the Cowboys can win on Thanksgiving before deciding on troop activity in Afghanistan, he did utter this support for the men and women in uniform.

You guys make a pretty good photo op,”

Look, I do not begrudge any President posing with the troops, and it (deservedly so) is a great photo op to be seen with our brave troops. But to openly utter that phrase? C'mon, Barry! That's a fucking amateur hour comment.

No good deed goes unpunished

Okay, if I had made this up you would all be saying, "Kinda funny but just too ridiculous".

A former soldier who handed a discarded shotgun in to police faces at least five years imprisonment for "doing his duty".

There's just too much fail to really quote it all, but that sums it up right there. He saw a "black bin liner" near his garden. He checked it out and found a sawed off shotgun with two rounds for it.

Being a good citizen, he took it to the police and they arrested him and then the prosecutor decided to go to trial and then the jury found him guilty.
Too bad he didn't realize Britain doesn't have citizens anymore, they have subjects again.

Quote
Judge Christopher Critchlow said: "This is an unusual case, but in law there is no dispute that Mr Clarke has no defence to this charge.
"The intention of anybody possessing a firearm is irrelevant."

Apparently, they're supposed to call their mommie....errr.... the police and not touch the evil gun, just cower in fear until the police take the bad gun away.

Via Cato, who calls it , "Beyond Parody".
Now I like Cato, but "beyond parody"? Where have they been the last 8 years? This is just the obvious progression.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all....

Does it make me a bad person for thinking this is high-larious?
First, the set up.
The Montgomery County Ethics Commission found that a transgender employee who helped craft the county law prohibiting discrimination against transgender people sought to intimidate people who opposed the rule.

Being a good little lefty from an approved victim class (maybe more than one), it immediately accused that commission of using "KGB tactics".
Okay, so not really funny but immensely predictable.
So here's where teh funny comes in. Remember, it's a  transgender person.

Beyer, ... charged she was targeted by the Ethics Commission because of her gender.

Uhhhhhhhhh......Which one?

Fuck You, You Gaia-Worshipping Enviro-Weenie Hippie Douchebags!

Yeah, I, like most on the conservative side of the political map, figured the stupid fucking carbon offsets program was a scam on par with the "Win A Date With Rosetta" giveaway on a truck stop bathroom's wall. But this story proves how fucking awesomely prescient most of us on the right were.

In theory, the purchase of carbon offsets is supposed to cancel out the emissions generated by activities like flying or heating office buildings by directing money to programs that reduce emissions elsewhere, like tree-planting in Africa or a hydropower project in Brazil. An airline passenger might volunteer to pay $5 to $40 to offset his flight, with the price linked to distance.

Offsets have played a growing role in the greening of travel because carbon dioxide emissions from airplanes are growing so quickly and there is currently no technological fix that would drastically lower them.

In the United States, dozens of hotels and airlines have embraced such programs in the last year or two. United Airlines became the latest American airline to offer one this summer. Globally, offset programs have grown into a multimillion-dollar industry.

But it has proved difficult to monitor or quantify the emissions-reducing potential of the thousands of green projects financed by customers' payments, and there are no industrywide standards.

Responsible Travel is not the only organization that has changed its mind about the usefulness of offsets: Yahoo and the U.S. House of Representatives both ended trial offset-purchase programs this year, concluding that the money was better spent on improving their buildings' energy efficiency.

Some of the world's leading experts on the emissions issue have reviewed and rejected purchasing offsets for air travel.

"We're always looking at it, but so far I've decided not to do it," said Paul Dickenson, chief executive of the Carbon Disclosure Project, a vast nonprofit consortium of companies that have pledged to report and reduce their emissions. For one thing, he said, offsetting the emissions of a flight from London to New York would probably require an extra fee of $200 to $300, far above what any airline is now charging.

And some experts say that emissions from airline travel are simply so large that it may be impossible to offset them.

"Buying offsets is a nice idea, just like giving money to a soup kitchen is a nice idea, but that doesn't end world hunger," said Anja Kollmuss, a staff scientist for the Stockholm Environment Institute who is based at a branch at Tufts University.

"Buying offsets won't solve the problem, because flying around the way we do is simply unsustainable," said Kollmuss, who has researched airline offsets.

No fucking shit, Captain Obvious! And fuck all of the Gaia Worshipping Enviroweenie Hippie Goatse Gloryholing Earfuckers up their unwashed asses with the jetblast from Algore's luxury plane for tryning to push this rubber fist of FAIL bullshit upon us. This shit was never anything more than a fucking attempt to assuage the limousine liberal guilt for being able to hop on a plane or drive a car on halfway paed roads and to enrich hucksters such as Algore and the stock brokers who sold these abominations.

And you know what, Buttboy of Birkenstock? I fucking hope you drained your bank accounts to pay for these stupid "offsets", because a fool who believes in that shit should not be allowed any more than a daily allotment of lunch money to spend. I fucking hope you realize what a sucker you were, and then I shall laugh the belliest of Errol Flynn belly laughs in your face. And then I will burn some cans of hairspray on your lawn to taunt you.

Now fuck off, Green Goofs, and leave reality to those of us who have a fucking clue.

Eric Holder, you fucking imbecile

Do you really think that we're afraid of what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is going to say?  Has it not even occurred to you that you're making New York a potential target?  And in light of what just happened at Ft. Hood, how in fucking hell can you say that our infrastructure is strong?

Oh, and Obama, you're an idiot too.

"I think this notion that we have to be fearful that these terrorists possess some special powers that prevent us from presenting evidence against them, locking them up and exacting swift justice, I think that has been a fundamental mistake," Obama said in an interview with CNN.
Uh, respectfully, President Obumble, this isn't about fear that the terrorists are going to stick their tongues out and waggle their fingers at our country in court.  This is about creating a completely unavoidable circus in the middle of a city that has already endured enough, and it's about your sunshiney naivete not being enough to stop terrorist attacks on American soil.  The very fact that you want to stop the investigation into Ft. Hood shows how completely unwilling you are to admit that the entire world doesn't adore you.  Get your head out of your ass.

Obama loses yet another popularity contest

I expect Obama's probably curled up in his closet right now, crying "But why don't those darned Chinese people LIKE me?!"

(Obama) came bearing a long shopping list, including Chinese support for tougher sanctions on Iran and more flexibility by Beijing on currency exchange rates, but Obama was met with polite, yet stony, silences.
This is what happens when you elect the small-town prom queen President, you stupid fucking libtards.

The Chinese also understand that President Obama is not to be trusted talking to schoolchildren, as the 'town hall' was stocked with members of the Communist Youth League and was not allowed to be broadcast live.
Now if only the 52% could recognize what the rest of the world understands, that a nation's sovereignty is something to be valued and protected and upheld.  It certainly looks like the Chinese understand it.
"Obama coming here doesn't have anything to do with us. He's the president of the United States. We're Chinese," said Yang Xiuying, a clerk at a Beijing crafts store selling dolls of Obama dressed as Superman.
