I'm starting to feel like it will actually be a relief when SkyNet becomes self-aware and decides to wipe us out.

What makes this worse is that she is a major fundraiser for Obama, and is seen in this video presenting him with a petition regarding Afghanistan.
Ok. I stand corrected. I do have something to say:

Sadly, this clown is not the craziest conspiracy nut to cross the innertubes today. That award goes to the one and only Louis Farrakhan, who blames the Ft. Hood shooting on (wait for it)...

ESPN.com, the online branch of the sports multimedia empire, finally realized its dream yesterday of achieving a segregated site, sending its minority columnists to the back of the website in a new tab called "Commentary" and setting up the plantation that it has long desired.
Michael Kinsley, who until recently no one had ever heard of, made the announcement in a post on the reconfigured Page 2 on Monday, insisting that this was not "a breakup."
Kinsley said that the contributors who are moving will be joined by "thought leaders and sports stakeholders with diverse, insightful points of view." Diversity at ESPN is now not to be found on Page 2, which is once again the sole province of white misogynist Bill Simmons and his band of merry white men.
Columnists who have been sent to the Commentary Plantation include Jemele Hill, LZ Granderson, and Scoop Jackson, the only African-American columinists on Page 2, whose work had until now largely focused on social and minority issues pertinent to athletics. Two white columinsts were also moved.
Kinsley also offered the possibly racially-tinged charge that Commentary "will be the ears of ESPN.com, too." Barack Obama, America's first African-American president, is well known to have big ears.

Wow. Who would have thought that the O-Ministration would want to tax something they "gave" to millions of people? It's almost as if this crew really likes to tax people making less than $250,000.
Most workers started receiving the credit through small increases in their paychecks in April. The tax credit was made available through new tax withholding tables issued by the Internal Revenue Service. The withholding tables, however, do not take into account several common categories of taxpayers. And that could force some people to repay what the government gave them.
For example, a worker with two jobs gets a $400 boost in pay at each job, for a total of $800. That worker, however, only is eligible for a maximum credit of $400, so the remaining $400 will have to be paid back at tax time — either through a smaller refund or a payment to the IRS.
The IRS recognized there could be a similar problem for married couples if both spouses work, so it adjusted the withholding tables. The fix, however, was imperfect.
A married couple is eligible for an $800 credit. However, if both spouses work and make more than $13,000, the new withholding tables give them each a $600 boost — for a total of $1,200.
There were 33 million married couples in 2008 in which both spouses worked. That's 55 percent of all married couples, according to the Census Bureau.
Also, a single student with a part-time job gets a $400 boost in pay. However, if students are claimed as dependents on their parents' tax returns, they don't qualify for the credit and would have to repay it when they file their returns.
Some retirees face even bigger headaches.
More than 50 million Social Security recipients received $250 payments in the spring as part of the economic stimulus package. Those lump sum payments were intended to provide a boost for people who didn't qualify for the tax credit.
However, the payments were sent to many retirees who also received the tax credit. Those retirees will have the $250 payment deducted from their tax credit — but not until they file their tax returns next year, long after the money may have been spent.
"More than 10 percent of all taxpayers who file individual tax returns for 2009 could owe additional taxes," said J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration.
And what is really frustrating is how many of the people who get hit with this increase will fail to see the errors of supporting Democrat Party policies and continue the circle of stupidity.

...unless you want a mammogram under the age of 50. Turns out, coincidentally enough, that age 40 isn't a great time to start getting mammograms.

So, Obamacare will promote prevention and screening, because that will save money. Except when it won't. (Guess who decides when it won't.)
Welcome to the politicization of medicine, comrade. The truthiness shall set you free.

Seems to be the same principle behind the George Foreman grill, but looks like it works pretty well. And who am I to contradict Alton Brown, king of the food geeks?

Well, she has now thrown down a gauntlet that the Dish will be very eager to take up in the next few days.We don't link to Sullivan here as a matter of editorial policy seeing as how he's a delusional crank, but your response as to why you would continue to employ an individual who unapologetically writes about ridiculous Palin conspiracy theories while other news outlets castigate the "Birthers" who have been characterized as part of the mainstream of Obama critics would be appreciated.
The "Open Challenge" is yours to respond to. I hope other blogs whose participants are interested in rational debate about public affairs will take it up.

Thanks to this tweet from an intrepid Missouri dude, I decided to look for myself at the recovery.gov site to see if, indeed, jobs were being saved in a Congressional District that didn't exist.
Well, lookie here. Sure enough, the O-bots are claiming that five jobs were saved in the 14th MO Congressional District. Only problem? Missouri only has nine Congressional Districts.
Uh Oh!
Now, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt to the O-Folks and assert that maybe the five jobs saved/created/whatever came from the 14th State Congressional District. But that is dubious, since the chart also lists the "00 Congressional District" and a few other oddly numbered ones, but not every State House District. And no "00" District exists for the State House.
Double Uh Oh!
Without sounding too conspiracy minded, something tells me that something fishy may be going on with the recovery claims. Or the O-Bots will simply claim this was a misprint. Either way, "Sheriff" Biden needs to look into this.
****UPDATE**** I did a scrrencap.

At some point it would be nice if there was a decent amount of transparency around what Soros is doing; if he genuinely believes in open societies, he ought to lead it, but since he doesn't - perhaps a decent journalistic project would be to connect the dots and create a map of his involvement in US and foreign affairs.
My hackles go up not only because of the notion that a reclusive, ideological billionaire has decided to reshape the American polity, but because that billionaire makes his billions in part by investing based on changes in international markets - which are in turn effected by national and international politics.
source
I am positive but can't prove that George Soros is behind the current economic collapse in the US. Here is how I see it:
- Soros hated George W. Bush.
- "The Ownership Society" was a major portion of Bush's policy agenda.
- Soros recognized that the housing market was becoming speculative and that it would be easy to cause a collapse by causing a rise in inflation which would would force the fed to raise interest rates. This would cause many of the ARM mortgages to rise and begin forcing people into foreclosure.
- He did this by running up the price of oil through speculation
- at least one economist agrees with me that oil prices were the driving force behind the recession
- I believe like many (most) others Soros underestimated the damage that would be caused by Credit Default Swaps. He was expecting a minor recessions, enough to help the liberals secure power, and we ended up with the "Great Recession".
like I said I can't prove this but I would love to see some digging by the media.
