Primary day in Alaska

Today is the Alaska House GOP primary

Rep. Don Young will be out of office regardless of what happens in this primary, but I'd rather him get taken down here so the seat will stay in GOP hands.  So if you're in Alaska, make sure to go vote for Parnell today.  I'll have the results posted tonight!

No, just No

What the crap is Rich Lowry thinking here?  Huckabee as VP?  Is he insane?  Says Lowry about Huck's downsides,

The downsides are—as I've noted many times before—he doesn't have much in the way of national security credentials and has a big seriousness gap, obviously not trifling matters.

How about his obnoxious demagoguery against business, his squishy big government pro-taxation stance, all the "Shi'ite Republican" nonsense, his demagoguing Mitt Romney and teh gheys, and his desire to turn the government into a mission church, remember?  I can't even believe Lowry would embarrass himself by uttering this kind of stupidity in public(Okay, I can, but Huck?  Weak, dude).

You want the rest of the conservative movement to walk, do what Lowry says, just remember who runs the political machinery and who pays the bills.  Let me assure you, if it's Huck, there's no way in Hell I'd EVER vote for McCain, EVER, and I wouldn't be alone.

You know what, if you need a quick reminder why the Hucktard should never be in a position of power, here it is,

Lowry needs to watch this a few times until he gets this Hucktard idiocy flushed out of his head.

InEVITAble

The McCain campaign 3AM ad,

Having been pretty much proven wrong on reading these ads once, I'm loathe to say I think doing them is too risky, but I still think you play low key and let things fester.  I thought it was risky based on the potential for Hillary to smack McCain for them then, and I think now you run the risk of overdoing it enough to turn off Clinton supporters.  Yes, I realize she has interest in seeing Obama tank and personal animosity, but party politics sometimes override that.

Moar from Denver

Alice only got one set of pics up last night for obvious reasons, but here it is.

Part XIII (ninjas, skaters, tagging, and the beginning of the riots)

I'll be sure to add the rest here if they're up before I head off to work.

The irony is delicious

Why, it's almost as delicious as hot, buttery, salted...popcorn:

"I'm not anxious to disrupt the convention," she said, adding that she plans to go to a pro-Hillary march on Tuesday, but that "if it gets rowdy, I'll step to the side. I consider that march a thank-you to Hillary for having not given up." Pat said she'll vote for Obama, but that she just wonders, after listening to Pelosi tell the crowd about how there should be more women seated around her at the White House table, "Why, why, why did she ask Clinton to leave the race? And why did she encourage superdelegates not to vote for her? That whole speech she just gave was about how women have to strive for power, but she used her own power to diminish and destroy Clinton's."
And yet, you're still going to vote for Nancy's boy? (I know, racist! and homophobic!, but my shriveled black (racist again!) heart just couldn't resist.)

Come on, Pat. We all know you're bitter, clinging to Hillary. Barack Hussein (racist!) Obama stole what was rightfully Hillary's right out from under her.  You know you don't want to do anything that would help Michelle Obama's kids.  Let the haterd flow through you. Come over to the Dark (racist!) Side.

A dose of Hucktard stupidity

Thank God this jackass didn't win the primary, and I'm saying that as someone who absolutely can't stand McCain.

Chris Muir's annual fundraiser

He does an annual drive to raise funds to maintain his site and make (at least some) of his living.  I'm sure you've seen the cartoon strip in sidebars at many sites, so if you're a fan, you may want to help him out.

Trent Lott is a fucking dirtbag

I cannot stand Trent Lott, and this bit of douchebaggery makes me dislike the tool even more.  Reflecting on his career raiding the taxpayer coffers for personal gain, Lott says,

"But you know what, in my heart I knew he was right," he said of his pork barrel ways. That's no way to do business, we shouldn't be doing all that earmarking -- it got completely out of control.

"It got out of control with Republicans and that's why we are being punished a little bit," he added. "Because we forgot how we got there, what we believed in, the principles that after 30 years put us in the majority, gave us the White House, the congress, the senate, the house. And then we ran out of ideas... "

Good to know you finally saw the light, immediately after it was no longer politically inconvenient.  What a twat.   Oh, and shame on Mississippi for reelecting this corrupt scumbag election cycle after election cycle. Surely they could have found an Andy Harris to defeat the corrupt Lott in Mississippi.

The latest from Denver

Alice H continues to follow the spectacle surrounding the Democrat Convention, and has lots of pictures from the various protests, be sure to check them all out,

Part I (Where there are cameras, there is Sheehan)

Part II (Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs)

Part III (everyone's favorite plagiarist art thieving fake Native American is in this collection)

Part IV (moar from the crazy masses, and some counterprotesters)

Part V (finally some giant paper mache heads!  No lefty protest is complete without them!)

Part VI (with even moar protest cliches!)

Part VII (Just another granny for peace)

Part VIII  (IVAW, paper cranes, CHANG(e), and other pitiful cliches)

Part IX  (respecting McCain's service and time as a POW, and moar "I've run out of room" signs)

Part X
(moonbats on the march)

Part XI (some police photos and another "Defend Denver" dork...why do they wear those shirts? 99% of them would shriek at the mere sight of a real AK)

Part XII  (police and anarchists and Native Americans, oh my!)

Be sure to drop by throughout the week to see what Alice has for us, and check out her videos too.

This week is gonna be fun!

Even if the powers that be had stopped all ethanol production a few months back, I still don't think there would be nearly enough popcorn for what's going to happen in Denver this week:

As Democrats arrived here Sunday for a convention intended to promote party unity, mistrust and resentments continued to boil among top associates of presumptive nominee Barack Obama and his defeated rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Gee, who could have seen something like that coming? I mean, it's not like the two of them hate each other with the white-hot passion of a billion burning suns about to go supernova, right?

Oh. Yeah. Never mind.

Somewhere, That Dog Mr. Burns Hired To Be His Vice President Is Smiling

It seems as though the sleepy hamlet of Rabbit Hash, KY has a unique tradition of electing dogs to serves as it mayors.

The only candidate so far is a border collie named Lucy Lou.

The situation isn't unusual for the Boone County town. The former mayor was a black labrador retriever named Junior Cochran, who died May 17 after serving since 2004.

The Kentucky Enquirer reported on its Web site Thursday that the Rabbit Hash Historical Society has scheduled voting to begin Aug. 31 and end Nov. 4, with voters paying $1 per vote. Proceeds benefit the historical society.

According to the Web site www.rabbithash.com, candidates for the office may be humans or animals but not ducks or geese.

Actually, I don't see what's the big deal. Here in St. Louis, dogs and dead people vote all the time, so I guess letting them hold office is a logical conclusion.

Two! Four! Six! Eight! This chant will make you feel sedate!

We have an insider for the Denver convention, Alice H has been following the assorted protests around the DNC Convention, and some of the Convention activities as well  Here we have some anarchists chanting,

I can't help but laugh at these guys.  Really?  You can barely get a good chant going and you're going to take down the most powerful government in the world?  Mwahahahaaa.  Be sure to check out the rest of the videos, and keep checking back for updates.  I understand there'll probably be pictures coming too.

I figured all this talk about a huge protest presence would be a bust, doesn't even look like there are a lot of protesters.  Really, for the most part the leftists and nutroots mostly got what they wanted in a candidate.  The only people who really have anything to gain from doing these protests are shameless attention whores and self-promoters.

Hmmmmmmm.......

Marc Arbinder is reporting that former eBay CEO Meg Whitman and rumored potential VP candidate is pro-life.

Economic chops?  Check.

Pro-life? Check.

Not a boring white guy?  Check.

That would be interesting.
