AFL-CIO's "Educate the Idiots" campaign in Colorado

Who are those "idiots?"  Why, those would be, according to the Democratic Party and AFL-CIO, "minorities, GED's, drop-outs."  Lemme ask something to the union Democrats and union families in Pennsylvania, do you folks think your leadership in the Democratic Party and the unions not look at the "minorities, GED's and dropouts" amongst your ranks as "idiots?"  Because I'm guessing they do.

We know Obama looks down on your Bible and gun clinging selves.  Maybe you even *are* one of those people the Democrats and union heads call "idiots." Don't you have more respect for yourself than to tolerate this?  Year after year, they look down on you for who you are, and you keep going back for more.

Who’s Who at DPUD

Thanks to the conservative movement coming apart at the seams over the bailout bill/coming zombie apocalypse, we have a lot of new readers here at DPUD. I know it can get confusing telling who’s who, what with a cast of thousands of cobloggers, not to mention frequent commenters with names that sound like porn stars.

So I’ve put together this handy guide to who’s who at DPUD. Hey, I don’t just write fake news stories; I’m all about helpfulness. That, and gratuitous nudity.

Click below the fold to see a brief bio of our menagerie here at DPUD.

McCain-Palin conceding Michigan to Obama

They were never going to win it, anyway.  Evidence?  They keep electing and re-electing the Democrats that have caused their one-state economic depression.

Hell, they love it so much they want it exported to the rest of the nation.

Biden Clarifies Helicopter Story

Vice-Presidential candidate Joe Biden clarified his terrifying ordeal as the tail gunner in an Iraq helicopter today, earning a five-minute standing ovation from the press room and an acknowledgment from neutral PBS observers that his military experience "is second only to Eisenhower in presidential lore."

"We were under attack!" Biden told a roomful of reporters at Washington's prestigious Watergate Hotel.  "When the guy manning the machine gun got hit, I had to take over to protect our previous cargo: the load of Iraqi orphans that we were ferrying to the Better Life Foundation, which helps them find good homes by pairing them up with caring celebrities around the world."

Pausing to wipe a tear from his heroic eye at the thought of those poor waifs, Biden continued.  "Although in the beginning I struggled to get the gun under control, and I received some burns to my face, arms, and hair plugs, I managed to shoot down three enemy helicopters, two jets, a heat-seeking missile, four RPGs, and a nasty-looking bird with a bad case of diarrhea."

Biden concluded the modest description of his heroics by noting that "the captain wanted to give me a Congressional Medal of Honor, to go along with my Congressional Medal of Freedom, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Green Clover, and Blue Diamonds, but I told him to keep his lucky charm for some other deserving soldier.  Then I went on my way, after I'd built several dozen homes and rent-controlled apartments single-handedly in the mean streets of Baghdad."

He then flashed his legendary smile, and the cynical press core felt their hearts lift in a rush of joy at having this noble hero regale them with such a regal tale, unlike some presidential candidates, who claim that America's enemies are torturous barbarians whose only thought is to inflict pain and score cheap propaganda points.

In other news, Sarah Palin is still dangerously unqualified to be President and her continued presence on the Republican ticket calls into doubt the sanity of elderly coot John McCain.

Kill things the Sarah Palin way...

...with the Sarah-Cuda hunting bow!

Lakota Industries Inc. announced its "Sarah-Cuda" bow Wednesday in honor of the Alaska governor's "lifelong passion for the sport of hunting."

The pink camouflage bow weighs 3.4 pounds and is designed to accommodate female hunters and archers. It retails for $590.
Score!  The best part?  10% of the proceeds go to the National Association for Down Syndrome.

It's about enough to make me want to go hunting.

It's not a big truck, it's a series of indictments about to be dismissed?

The prosecution is apparently doing some seriously sloppy work in the trial of kleptocrat Ted Stevens, the judge got pissed and threatened to dismiss the indictment after the prosecution failed to give the defense information about one of the key witness' statements.  The judge told the jurors to take the next trial date off, that he had to hold a discussion with the legal teams.  I wonder what happens if he's acquitted?  I really hope Alaska finds a replacement for the corrupt bastard.

You can't have your healthy substitute for pudding if you don't eat your organic fair trade free-range vaguely meat-like soy substitute

Sorry, you're just gonna have to quit drinking so much milk and eating as much meat and junk foods in order to save Gaia.  Yes, this is another ZOMG COW FARTS AND MODERN AGRICULTURE RUIN TEH ENVIRONMENT!!1!1eleventy!1one!1 study.  Here's the obligatory statement from the head of the study, calling for dictatorial control over the citizenry,

Tara Garnett, the report's author, warned that campaigns encouraging people to change their habits voluntarily were doomed to fail and urged the government to use caps on greenhouse gas emissions and carbon pricing to ensure changes were made. "Food is important to us in a great many cultural and symbolic ways, and our food choices are affected by cost, time, habit and other influences," the report says. "Study upon study has shown that awareness-raising campaigns alone are unlikely to work, particularly when it comes to more difficult changes."

This is in the UK, so I'm guessing the Nanny government will be happy to oblige.   The National Farmers' Union response?

However, the National Farmers' Union warned that its own study, with other industry players, published last year, found net emissions from agriculture could only be cut by up to 50% if the carbon savings from building renewable energy sources on farms were taken into account.

The NFU also called for government incentives to help farmers make the changes. "Farmers aren't going to do this out of the goodness of their hearts, because farmers don't have that luxury; many of our members are very hard pressed at the moment," said Jonathan Scurlock, the NFU's chief adviser on renewable energy and climate change.

Moar subsidies pleez!

The article has a before and after of what your weekly menu would look like after Nanny put it's foot down...on their throats.  Let's just say, maybe it'll take the government denying the Brits their bangers and mash and their clotted cream to make them take back control of their government.

Exit question:  You think Vice-Chair of the Minnesota GOP will swipe this story, too?

Morons of the Day: Do I have to think of everything?

So we've got several Somali pirates in control of a Ukranian cargo ship and they won't return the weapons-laden vessel (or her crew) until they receive $20,000,000.

Am I the only person on Earth that sees how easy the solution to this is?  It reminds me of the prisoner/corpse exchange in Israel earlier this year.

What you do is you give them the money.  Hell, give them $40,000,000 in gold bars (the reason for gold will become apparent shortly) and send them on their merry way.

Wait until they are back in their homes and the Ukranian vessel is under control, send a dozen predator attack drones* to track the bugged money and blow them and everyone they are friends with to hell, chunky-salsa style.

You'll be glad you used gold instead of cash at this point because it will survive the explosions and be salvagable.  That's thinking ahead.

What's so hard about this?

* - Whatever.  Cruise missiles, MOABs, acid sprays, C-130's full of human waste.  The important part is that they suffer and die.

Man, I Could Sure Go For Some Cooked Testicles Right ABout Now!

And, thanks to some guy from Serbia, I can now download the cookbook.

The e-book, available for download from the internet, comes with handy video guides showing the Serb peeling the skin off testicles and slicing them up into bite-size chunks.

Several different animals, including stallions, ostriches, bulls, pigs and turkeys, get the Erovic treatment.

"Wash testicles thoroughly for 30-45 minutes," begins the recipe for testicles pie.

"Once softened, mince them in a mincer."

A "very sharp knife" is needed for traditional style testicles, which get boiled, cut up and deep fried in hot oil.

Mr Erovic, 45, may be self-taught in the art of testicle cuisine but his 20 years of "cooking with balls" make him a world authority in the field.

"The tastiest testicles in my opinion probably come from bulls, stallions or ostriches, although other people have their own favourites," he said.

Andrew Sullivan was unavailable for comment.

Dubble Werd Scohr!

Can you imagine this?

The couple arrived at the luxury resort on Monday and spent time enjoying the sun and splashing around in the sea.

Wearing a black bikini, Lindsay, 22, smothered herself in suncream as Sam, 31, relaxed on a lounger.

They later played a game of scrabble under the shade of some palm trees.

How many points is "ADEQUITE?"

Danny Boy

The pipes, the pipes are calling:

Hollywood actor Daniel Craig became the chief guest of a baptism celebration in New York, when he accidentally wandered to the party after hearing sound of bagpipes.

The Bond actor, who is in the Big Apple in order to promote his upcoming flick Quantum of Solace, entered the party while he was at Nichols restaurant in East Hampton.

“He walked in and ended up holding the baby and posing for photos, the Daily Star quoted a source, as telling The New York Post.

Apparently he can't resist the sound.  I smell a future ambush!
