WOOOOOSH!

I don't know that I've ever seen the actual point of an issue fly so completely over the head of a blogger. I mean, this has to be a parody, right? Right?

Be sure to read the comments.

(Via Darleen.)

Good Point: It's funny because it's true...

How is it "guaranteed gov't health care" if you have to cross a border to get it? [...] Well, don't get used to it, Canada.
And by "funny," I mean deadly serious. Literally.

Thanks: To Russ from Bacon for linking at Moron Central.

3 Gotta love The Moderate (but reliably liberal) Voice.

4 That's a good point. Why is it that leftists (I refuse to let them bastardize the word liberal to fit their statist agenda) always claim to be moderates? Conservatives, in general, are honest about their biases.

And yet, so many of the dipshit "moderate" cockholsters such as Frum, Brooks, Noonan, Parker, et al., continue to think they are our intellectual betters.

In fact, I have a response from one of the founding "moderates" to today's moderates:

Man, I never get tired of that photo.

7 And how might this work for the Canadians when the good ol' USA has it's own socialized medicine system in place?

Posted by: Greg Toombs at June 29, 2009 08:23 PM (r2oI9)

8 Just ask yourself one very simple question: Why doesn't the entire country of Canada have the medical resources to handle the child?

9   Actually, it's because there were no beds available in Ontario, not the whole country.  Not that there WOULD have been any beds available in the rest of Canada, but I don't know if that's true or not, so I'll stick to criticizing them for what I know.

10 As he usually does, Mark Steyn had a couple of choice anecdotes about Canadian healthcare last week (like the 150 women who got chlamydia from an unsterilized speculum) when he was subbing for Rush. I almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard.

Then I realized, Holy Shit, my family and I are living in Canada for the year because of my wife's job, and that's the fookin' healthcare WE'D be getting.

Sorry, wasn't paying attention. I meant to post that comment at the origin site, whatever it is called.

12 Just curious... What good is guaranteed health care if one can't actually receive it when needed? Not so much, I'd say. I hope for the best for the wee little one. It would be nice if the blog author would not have strayed from that sentiment just to take critical jab at the nation that is providing the health care that the patient's national system cannot (or will not?). I also hope that the parents can be with their child as soon as possible. But using the US as a scapegoat for their separation is not the answer. We do not issue Canadian passports or other credentials. And many US citizens with criminal records are barred from entering Canada also. Right or wrong, it is the law. If there is an exception that can be negotiated through the State Department, I hope one can be found.
