I suppose that clowns are humorous to most people. But when they look
like scary guys with pounds of theatrical makeup pasted on, jumping out
from behind trees and where ever else they think it is cute to hide, and
you are not even in grammar school. Yet that can actually cause a
lifetime of coulrophobia, panic attacks and bad feelings. Clowns can be
very scary to the young minds. Can you imagine something like that
picking up a kid for the first time in their life and shaking them
thinking they are funny? Having to get your picture taken with one and
he is laughing while you are on his lap, all this just because someone
thinks it is cute? It is really scary situation when you take the time
to think about it.

The last company I worked for went bankrupt in March 2009. The poor suckers I worked with dumb enough to invest in the 401k are still trying to get their money. Also one should remember 401k's are not tax free. They are tax deferred meaning you will pay tax on the money later when taxes may very well be much higher. Put the money on your mortgage and get whatever your interest rate is for a return and get out of debt sooner too!

Here's what an elder (retired banker) neighbor suggested to me. Put your money into a Christmas savings. It pays twice the interest than a regular savings account. You have to invest in it for approximately 1 full year without taking it out. Take half that and put it into a safe deposit box, 1/4 for Christmas, 1/4 reinvest in the next years Christmas, of course you'll have to keep putting into the Christmas savings throughout the year. We have been doing that for about 4 years now and we really enjoy it. Especially come retirement time, we will enjoy it. It may work for you too. Just give it a try.
