If you don't tell your friends and neighbors about any of this, if you don't call up talk radio programs (before they get the fairness doctrine re-instituted), and if you don't do your best to alert everyone to the fact that whatever happens with or without this bailout we're looking at Carter II if Obama is elected, have fun for the next four years. I'll be here in California. Just because I can't afford to move anywhere else. Damnit.

I have a friend of my inlaws who worked at KMOX radio in STL (hence my desire to blast at them at all times) and was incredibly liberal.Said person worked there during the 2006 Senate race where Claire McCaskill beat Jim Talent.
Damn near every day, McCaskill would make some retarded comment, but KMOX would: spike it, soin it for her, or let her appear on the air (without callers or a Republican counter) and "clarify" her comments.
I brought this up to said person at a party about a month before the election, and ask why they don't call her on it, allow callers on the air to question her, or allow a counter on the air. This person conceded that McCaskill had set multiple Michelle Obamaesque "ground rules" for appearing on the air, and that, besides, it was an unwritten rule in the news room and amongst the local on air talent that McCaskill "HAD" to win, and they would help "shape" the news if necessary (friend's words, not mine). When I asked for clarification, friend smiled a knowing smile, turned around, and left the party.
Tells you what you need to know, since the MO Senate race was razor thin.
