We really dodged a bullet with that Sarah Palin, didn't we?

Not to sound like a cultist or anything, but when my President addresses something like the Special Olympics, this is what I would prefer.

Before I do my part as a good conservative by laying off Dear Leader, I've got to say that I'm not Outrageously Outraged!TM at this.  However, is it too much to ask that the effing President of the effing United States act a little more, I dunno, presidential?

Exit question:  Why is Trig dressed like a miniature 70's-era Elton John?

Update:  I love me some Jeff Goldstein.

1 I agree that outrage shouldn't go to 11 but I do think that holding Obama to the rules he plays by is totally fair.

I'm not outraged at the joke and I don't think it means he thinks less of the disabled. I do find it extremely distasteful that he, as the POTUS, is making those jokes in public. Especially while his side of the aisle has been telling everyone for years how wrong those kinds of jokes are. Of course, I found it unpresidential for him to be on Leno in the first place...

I want my President to be an adult. Not a rock star. If I want a rock star, I'll hold out for Beef Supreme.

Exit question:

notice Ace has been audibly quiet regarding Allah's "lay off Dear Leader" comment?

4 I'm okay with that.  They did a good job over there calling Dear Leader out.

6 Holy crap Palin is awesome! Gosh, maybe I am a cultist.

7 I'm sure Allahpundit would have wet his panties if Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh had said the same thing.  Notice how he's much more willing to let Obama slide with the "you know what he meant" defense than he ever was for Rush.

Ohhh, AP bashing ... can I get in on this?

Really, though, there's not much left to be said about the guy.  He drives traffic, which is why he's still at HA.  At some point, Malkin will decide he's too much of an embarrassment to keep around, and he'll be gone.

Come on, eddie, let's not start down the road where silence is interpreted by detractors to be an affirmative statement about something. Ace has no duty to comment on everything Allah says, and he certainly hasn't held back on criticizing Obama over this gaffe.
