Obama loses yet another popularity contest

I expect Obama's probably curled up in his closet right now, crying "But why don't those darned Chinese people LIKE me?!"

(Obama) came bearing a long shopping list, including Chinese support for tougher sanctions on Iran and more flexibility by Beijing on currency exchange rates, but Obama was met with polite, yet stony, silences.
This is what happens when you elect the small-town prom queen President, you stupid fucking libtards.

The Chinese also understand that President Obama is not to be trusted talking to schoolchildren, as the 'town hall' was stocked with members of the Communist Youth League and was not allowed to be broadcast live.
Now if only the 52% could recognize what the rest of the world understands, that a nation's sovereignty is something to be valued and protected and upheld.  It certainly looks like the Chinese understand it.
"Obama coming here doesn't have anything to do with us. He's the president of the United States. We're Chinese," said Yang Xiuying, a clerk at a Beijing crafts store selling dolls of Obama dressed as Superman.

1 Heh.  I was just about to do a post on this very same article, but I violated a cardinal rule and actually read the blog.

I liked the opening sentence:

When it came to China, President Obama's famous powers of persuasion failed to persuade.

Dorothy, we're not in the Iowa Caucuses anymore!

(I'm pretty sure there's a Photoshop in there for someone with the requisite skillz.)

2 popularity turns to derision and competition in only an instant.

Only true value is lasting.

This man, lacks both for those of us who can see through a veil of arrogance.

3 I liked the first sentence too, I just hate to steal the lede from a piece.

Unfortunately, I *like* the characters from the Wizard of Oz.  So I'm not sure who would be pshopped into which.  Even Obama as Toto doesn't feel right, since he triumphantly sniffed the ruby slippers on the freshly crushed witch, and Obama as the witch doesn't feel right, as it seems like it's giving him too much power.

Scarecrow = Biden.

Obama = the Wizard?

5 Kevin's so much cleverer than I am.

Yeah, Obama could be the Wizard.  Finding the right picture of Frank Morgan is gonna be the trick.

Eh, I would put him as the horse of many colors.

The Wizard came through in the end was pretty kindly and wise.

All  the horse did was change colors and everybody swooned.
