The young priest at my church doubles as a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and just returned from a month-long deployment to an airbase in Germany that also contains a medical center. I forget which one he said, so I'll stick with Germany for now.

Father detailed some of his duties, and how his faith, as well as the power of the Holy Spirit, helped guide him through some difficult moments as he provided spiritual comfort to some severely wounded servicemembers who have to stay there for a long recovery. He also thanked us for our prayers, cards, gifts for the troops, and the like. All was well and good, until he mentioned tending to a Polish soldier (I forget the rank he gave) fluent in English named Augustus. Augustus had been in the hospital for some time as the result of an explosion, and the prognosis called for even more time in recovery. What Augustus said was to our priest was so overpowering, so encouraging, and so heartbreaking, given the state of affairs in Eastern Europe right now.

For you see, Augustus apologized for letting America down. He said he and his country promised to be with America to the end, and that "The Explosion", as he called it, kept him from staying with us. Father, of course, reassured Augustus that, no, he did not let America down, for he will always be with us, and that America is grateful to him and all of our allies for risking so much to help us fight terrorism and will never forget him.

Sadly, the Obama Administration seems content to abandon Augustus and his country with the latest missile plans for Eastern Europe. Sadly, while Augustus didn't let us down, I fear Obama will let him down. And to that, I wish to apologize to the brave folks around the world like Augustus, for sacrificing so much for us. And to the people in our country who support Obama, who support his plans, and who call his opponents Traitors, this Traitor has something to say:
Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you to infinity and back. Fuck you with the rotting pumpkin that I tried in vain to carve for my daughter's Halloween Party. Fuck you for thinking that telling our allies who risk so much for us to get screwed.

Do you dipshits on the left realize what the fuck you are telling people like Augustus and his fellow Poles? Are you fucking happy that a people who so willingly and gladly have signed on to every overseas military endeavor since they overthrew Communism are being abandoned yet again to the Big Bear of the East, or do you even care?

Poland has endured so much, yet refused to lay down and die, even in the face of German and Soviet Brutality. They chose to fight Hitler's tanks on fucking horseback than surrender. They fucking rose up against the Nazi occupiers, and refused to quit. They fucking rose up against the Soviets and their client governments time after time, and refused to quit. And they were the ones who facilitated the collapse of the Iron Curtain through the actions of Lech Walesa and Pope John Paul II. Then, they willingly and gladly joined NATO after their independence, and have served honorably alongside us ever since, choosing to stand with Freedom. These people Do. Not. Fucking. Quit. They will stick by our sides to the end, and you, Fuckface Q Trustfundanarchist, turn a blind eye to our country leaving them alone in the woods? Fuck you. I won't put up with that.

And what is really fucking awful is the trend of the left to abandon those seeking freedom, and the insouciant view of the whole mess. Neda? Sorry. Look at that ice cream cone Obama licked! Honduraas? Pfftt. Spencer and Heidi are back together! Korea? Yawn! And Eastern Europe? Have you seen Obama's pants creases?!? Yeah, well count me as a "Traitor" then. For you see, I am old school in the belief that America does not abandon her friends and allies, especially after they gave all they did for us, when they really didn't need to do so. To many in Eastern Europe, we still are the Land of the Free, The Home of the Brave, and that Shining Fucking City on The Fucking Hill, not the shitpile worthy of scorn that much of Western Europe believes we are.

If the New Patriotism means telling our allies to get screwed, then call me "Enemy Ed."

If the New Patriotism means telling brave people such as Augustus that we won't stand by him and honor his sacrifices by abandoning him, then just stick me in the camps, for I will not do so. That, my friends, is un-American.

And if staying silent is the New Patriotism, well, you know I won't do that.
