MSM: McCain should be like Lincoln and choose a Democrat for VP!
While reading this Washington Times article, whose author is salivating at the prospect of a GOP vice president with a 2007 ACU rating only one point higher than Sen. Obama's, I came across this gem:
Exit question: When was the last time a Democratic nominee chose a Republican to be their vice president?
Naming Mr. Lieberman, an Orthodox Jew who is pro-choice and voted against a ban on partial-birth abortions, would certainly transform Republican presidential politics. How about that, it has been a long time since the GOP went bipartisan with it's vice presidential choice. What better time than now?
Not since Republican President Abraham Lincoln chose Democrat Andrew Johnson as his running mate in 1864 has the GOP taken a bipartisan leap.
Exit question: When was the last time a Democratic nominee chose a Republican to be their vice president?

The party that rose from "Bloody Kansas" in 1855 from the issue of slavery, now gives us a candidate that is pro-illegal immigrant slavery, and toys with grabbing the "third rail" of the pro-life plank with a pro-abort VP pick...(I'm betting that Johnson was not pro-abort, pro-invasion from Mexico, socialist, pro-gay marriage, anti-capital, man-made global warming hoax believer, and etc...)
Please Juan, PLEASE DO IT! We need a massive revolt and a floor fight on the Right of the RINO Party!

I so so agree. Actually, I would love to see the end of the two party system. I don't think it's healthy and it's led to the current lovely situation we're in candidate wise.
Then again, I am one of those people who just wants to watch the world burn.

I'm also at the point where I'm nearly equally sick of both parties. Living in CA, reasonably close to the beach, I'd prefer to watch the world die, however.

Where ever principle is determinedly upheld and fought for, people become enemies. A great person is known as much by the enemies made as by their friends(the two are often discovered to be one and the same), and fight to overcome obstacles. No "fight", no "victory". The party that give up ground to the enemy so as to "get along with" those who intend to stomp them out are fools of the lowest order, and the things they hold dear will be stripped from them.
Not everyone gets to "right", one side is "right" and one side is wrong, and "wrong" bears real consequences.
