Jerrold Nadler says, "Let Russia invade Georgia!" Why?:
"So let 'em invade Georgia. It's right next to them. Would we tolerate a foreign--a Russian army in Mexico? Which is more important to us Georgia or Israel, frankly?"
Actually, a more appropriate analogy would be us invading Mexico. Does the congressman support the United States issueing millions of visas to Mexican citizens, then invading on the pretense that our citizens are being mistreated by the Mexican government?
Seriously, if this guy can be in the house, why can't I?

I've often wondered what would happen if we ran a campaign with a sense of humor and blatant honesty all the time. You know, just say exactly what you think all the time and let the voters decide if they like that.
I'm so tired of politicians tempering their statements in an attempt to make everyone happy. I just want to run and say "I'll make people that agree with me happy and I promise to do everything in my power to not allow the policies of the government to oppress those that DON'T agree with me."

I'm not sure I agree with the lack of oppression. I mean, why have the jackboots if I can't put them on someone's throat?
Seriously, I think that would be a great campaign "These are my opinions, let me show you them". Then let the voters decide. And it would be phenomenal to remind people that it is possible disagree in good faith. I'm so so so sick of the whole omg anyone who is against me is eeeeevvvviiiiiilllll. It's pathetic and lame.
