The CBS morning show profiled a mom who gives her son weed for his autism.
“They’re seeing Joey come out. He’s never made noises. We didn’t even know he could make noise until the first batch of brownies.”
Yeah, I'm not sure about that one either.
Flame on, morons!

Some autistic kids are pretty morose and just seem to walk around and look at stuff, the ones I've known for sure were autistic anyway.
It seemed to me they wanted to interact, but didn't.
I had never thought about getting them stoned.
I have to admit, I don't really see a downside.
I don't know if there is an upside though.
If he has a good time, it's probably the only times in his life he has.
I wouldn't suggest alcohol instead, drinking only works for a short period and then you're not so happy anymore. High, you're pretty much just high unless you overdo it.
And I really wouldn't suggest acid (oh no) or coke or other upper-type drug, do you really want a hyperactive autistic person running around? I wouldn't give heroin, ecstacy or pcp to anybody.
But pot is probably perfect. It makes the kid animated and hungry, that's pretty much what it does to everybody until you smoke (eat) too much.
Now what happens when she's arrested?
She deserves it, she's breaking the law and blaring it to the world.
I hope she lives where medical marijuana is legal, they'll look really stupid busting her and leaving some stoner from Hoboken getting a prescription for pot while he's in LA for a week alone.
For absolute hilarity, they'll arrest him too or instead.
Then we'll know to repent our sins because the end is nigh.
And get a sword in case it's Ragnarok. Right MP?

What a silly country we live in where a harmless medication that seems to help a boy actually enjoy his life, is banned because some busy-bodies don't want adults making the free (and harmless) choice to get high. The mother should have kept her mouth shut, but it is sad that she had to.
And if her plan is to make a martyr out of herself in the name of helping other autistic children get access to somthing that may help them, then I guess I can't even say she should have kept her mouth shut - but she should be prepared to face the consequences of her actions, right wrong or indifferent. I hope she makes some headway with people.
