Jacob Wesiberg Handles A Setback Well

Jacob Wesiberg (warning: Slate link) can't handle the fact that the American people are rejecting his Hopey Changey bullshit.

The politicians thriving at the moment are the ones who embody this live-for-the-today mentality, those best able to call for the impossible with a straight face. Take Scott Brown, the newly elected Senator from Massachusetts. Brown wants government to take in less revenue: He has signed a no-new-taxes pledge and called for an across-the-board tax cut on families and businesses. But Brown doesn't want government to spend any less money: He opposes reductions in Medicare payments and all other spending cuts of any significance. He says we can lower deficits above 10 percent of GDP—the largest deficits since World War II, deficits so large that they threaten our future as the world's leading military and economic power—simply by cutting government waste. No sensible person who has spent five minutes looking at the budget thinks that's remotely possible. The charitable interpretation is that Brown embodies naive optimism {as opposed to the "calm and reasoned" approach of the reality based community?-ed} an approach to politics that Ronald Reagan left as one of his more dubious legacies to Republican Party {and it worked pretty well, no?-ed}. A better explanation is that Brown is consciously pandering to the public's ignorance and illusions the same way the rest of his Republican colleagues are.

My response:
Fuck you, Jacob. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you forever and a day with the mega solid golden warcock of Doom, Awesomeness, and Fuck Offishness. Fuck you for being such an arrogant, condescending, fuckheadedly fucked up fucktube of fucking fucked up fuckedness who can't fucking grasp reality. And fuck you just because I can't fucking stand a fucking arrogant fuckjiggling fucker who can't fucking look himself in the mirror and realize that it is not the fault of the consumer, but of the assholes like you who are trying to push something on the people that they don't fucking want, all the while telling us it's for our own fucking good.

You know what is even better, Jacob? I love the fact that you and your other members of the circle jerk of stupid refuse to step back and reassess why your policies and party are so down, just a fucking year after winning an election. I fucking love your arrogant assessment that you just need to keep insulting people in the hopes they will see the fucking light and come over to your side. I fucking love how you refuse to believe (to steal Breitbart's line) that it's you who suck, not the voters. I love it because the voters are going to fuck you and your party so hard this fall, you'll be wondering how you got that extra long neck, all the while wondering how it happened.

So go ahead, Jacob. Keep fucking up and insulting the voters. Keep pushing doomed plans, all while insulting the voters who keep telling you to fucking stop. Keep fucking that chicken, because your tears of defeat will be so delicious when they come.
