I'll get us started
It's Draw Mohammad Day! Here's my position on this - I will respect the views of the portions of Islam that believe it is forbidden to show illustrations of Mohammad once they respect my right to continue to be alive and queer. Until then? Yeah, not interested in hearing about how their poor little feelings are hurt.
Now, I can't draw. My drawing abilities are worse than my mathematical abilities. Thus, I'm posting a 16th century woodcut (mainly because I love woodcuts):

In the interests of, well, okay eyerolling, here's CAIR's response. Uh. Huh. This is me believeyfacing the protests about supporting free speech.

I m so mad. Why do u force us to behead peoples? Sure our prophet likes little girls and was obviously crazy. And sure, he was a bloodthirsty maniac who hated Jews and the modern world of 1200 ad, but that's no reason to ridicule him. For shame.

My brother is borderline reborn into his Catholocism, so he endorses the "Acknowledge the right to do so, and then don't." Which is a perfectly rational attitude.
However, the point being missed by many is that this isn't about offense, this is about a challenge to the Offense THEY offer.
I despise fighting, and I rarely ever lift my hands in defense. I will take quite a few hits before I lose my temper, but I will incite further violence, enough for me to respond in kind, once I've been struck.
Me talking crap after having been hit isn't the offense, it is a RESPONSE to offense.
Eff these guys, riot as you please, there used to be an allowance to respond in kind to imminent violence.
If that were in effect now? Different world, and it would be on fire, and not here.
