In Jurassic Park the uber hunter dude (who got killed stupidly) used a SPAS-12, I've wondered if he had slugs or buckshot or alternated.

I wouldn't take a SPAS-12.
My buddy has one and it works fine in pump-action but only most of the time in semi-auto mode.

It's Italian. They over-engineer everything like any good European but without the anal-retentiveness of the Germans or Belgians.

I'd go Mossberg with a mix of slugs and 00 buck and a bayonet or  a .50 Beowulf, preferably on an M-4 lower in case I need a 3-round burst.
They're fast and I'd figure hard to kill.
I also figure they'd be hunting us.
Most big game we hunt isn't hunting us, except maybe really big bears and they're not usually stalking us. They just try to kill us when they run across us. That's why man-eating tigers freak people out. If they're hunting us, well, we're meat for the beast.
Raptors wouldn't have any instinct to be any more afraid of us than any other similarly sized animal. They'd hunt us the way they hunt anything else.
So I'd want something with some stopping power and would have to assume I'd need to be within 100 yards.

Unless they hunt in a pack.
In that case, I'd want an AA-12


The military channel had a show about top ten man-portable heavy weapons.
They ranked that bad ass shotgun below the .50 Beowulf.
Now, I love my Beowulf, but that full-auto, low-recall shotgun makes whatever's "over that way" not there anymore.
At least, not in fully assembled form.

Of course my back up would be a .500 S&W.
That's pretty much my "Plan B" for anything that weighs more than I do.

8 Not bad, but remember, we're talking about hipster velociraptors, these aren't your standard vicious, carnivorous dinos. I think hipster velociraptors are going to be much, much slower and less aggressive than a typical raptor, and odds are you'll only be attacked by hipster raptors one at a time, as they're only going to attack someone to be ironic and differentiate themselves from the group somehow. 

Raptors aren't that big, either, and hipsters tend to be scrawny doofuses, so I'm actually thinking either an AK with a good heavy hollowpoint, a Saiga 12 gauge with slugs and a 20 round drum, and for a challenge either a levergun in .30-30, .35 Remington or .405 Winchester.  Far as sidearms, I like either DA revolver in .44 mag or .454, or an auto in 10mm.  Of course there's a part of me that says a double in .450 NE and a Howdah as a sidearm...just so I can wear a pith and speak in a really bad fake British accent.

Point out the irony in them trying to be ironic and as they try to figure that out, go up and slam then in the head.
Then shoot them with the .500.

Cabela's has a howdah. It's bad ass, it comes in either 20 gauge smooth bore or .58 rifled. .
It's used to be about $600, I saw it on sale for a day for around $400 and didn't get it. Now it's up to 800.
I'm a little depressed about that.
