GM is officially dead to me
Well, there goes the last saving grace GM had in my book. I've always loved Cadillacs, so this is pretty much the end of the line as far as GM is concerned. You know what? If GM is going to deep six Cadillac, someone needs to revive Packard. We need at least one good luxury American auto, and if it isn't Cadillac, it should be Packard.

I don't think they're saying they're getting rid of Cadillac, they're drastically reducing the number of dealerships.
Which doesn't make sense to me, they don't cost GM anything, if they weren't profitable, they wouldn't stay in business.
I just don't see how cutting dealers helps the manufacturer.
Or do you think that's the opening salvo in getting rid of Caddy?
I do think that the Gov't part of GM wants to pare them down to just Chevy Volts, so I can this as the beginning of that.

Caddy's use too much gas and, therefore, are evil and must be run into extinction.
/Obama Co.
My uncle is going to be pissed since he's only driven Caddies for, oh, the past 40 years.

An enormous slap to dealers, who surely sell other GM models. Those handful of caddy sales surely help the margins of those dealerships.
Isn't GM out of BK already? Can they drop dealers like this outside of BK?
I've been amused lately by the Saturn ads, saying Saturn makes cars Americans want --- and they've already axed Saturn.
