Chinese Government Deals With Uighur Muslims The Way They Deal With Anything
Meaning of course, random executions.
Some people might think this is the way to go, but I'm sorry, this is sick, to just sweep into town and start lining people up and mowing them down. If the gov't finds a real terrorist (and there are real terrorists in the region they're targeting and have real proof, try them in a fair military tribunal, and if they are guilty, then give the terrorist scum a belly full of lead.
It doesn't surprise me that the Chinese are so tough on Muslims. My understanding is they've had border issues with the Pakistanis in Kashmir region, plus issues in their central Asia region, where there is a significant Muslim population. The Uighurs are I believe remnants of the Mongol expansion, bringing Islam back with them from their time in Middle East.
After 9/11, my father had to go to China for business, and he said security in China's airports was super tight, it made the bumped up US security look pathetic, with heavy searches of everyone, bags completely sorted through, multiple pat-downs, metal detectors, the works.
