1 By the time I got done reading his website I actually started to feel pretty bad for the guy.  It really does look like his heart (if nothing else...) is in the right place.  Heck, I'm not so sure that the implementation of his ideas wouldn't be a net positive.  I don't even hold his presumably-fraudulent military claims against him, as I suspect that he sincerely believes them.  Given that his son is also running for office and has a similar message with better spelling and the two have been running for various offices for years, they're either bold actors or perhaps their tire pressure's down a few psi. 

I even like the conspiracy theory: that the gold-fringed Stars & Stripes is properly the flag of an American wartime naval tribunal and that civil and land-based criminal cases are being illegally tried under its jurisdiction.  It has just enough elements of "mostly true" connected by strands of crazy and disregard of "they use that one because they think it's pretty" to be intriguing.

Of course, if it weren't against Jim DeMint I'd be all for Alvin Greene being a Senator, too, as he surely can't do any worse than the others.
