Ember the Excellent sent this BBC article along about the collapse of the Copenhagen Climate Manbearpig Fuck The Global Economy Up Forever Conference, and it is full of the standard issue Euroweenieism and whining one would expect from our betters across the pond. Now, that in and of itself would be par for the course and unremarkable, except for this bullet point:

2. THE US POLITICAL SYSTEM

Just about every other country involved in the UN talks has a single chain of command; when the president or prime minister speaks, he or she is able to make commitments for the entire government.

Not so the US. The president is not able to pledge anything that Congress will not support, and his inability to step up the US offer in Copenhagen was probably the single biggest impediment to other parties improving theirs.

Viewed internationally, the US effectively has two governments, each with power of veto over the other.

Doubtless the founding fathers had their reasons. But it makes the US a nation apart in these processes, often unable to state what its position is or to move that position - a nightmare for other countries' negotiators.

OK. My response

Fuck you, Euroweenies. Fuck you and your emaciated, wimpy, socialistically fucked up worldview with a sense of hygge shoved into a Gemuütlichkeit encased glass dildo baked in the oven of FAIL. Fuck you for criticizing our system of government that has lasted over 220 years. Fuck you for having such unstable systems that seem to veer off into despotic statism and tyranny a little too easily. And fuck you in general, just becasue you flying fuckbaskets of fuckheadedness are jealous of us and our system.

You bet your fucking asses the Founding Fathers had their reasons for the checks & balances. You bet your fucking asses the USA is a nation apart. You bet your fucking fiefdoms of fuckfistedness we are a nightmare for other nations' negotiators. And you know the fuck what? The world has been relatively free and prosperous because of it, and has been a better place because of the USA and her system, this mistake notwithstanding. Besides, what do you want? Do you want the alternatives, which range from bad (unstable and comically inept "Western" Parliaments) to I'd Rather be Fucked By A Goat Cock Soaked In thumbtacks and AIDS (Chinese and Russian style autocracy).

Seriously, is that what you assholes want? Are you that desirous of "saving the planet" that you would prefer that the most powerful nation on the planet (and the one keeping your fucking ungrateful asses able to think and speak halfway freely as well as free from the various dictatorships you have spawned) cripple itself or emulate the dictatorships you secretly wish to have, so long as you are in charge? Really? I mean, fucking really? Much of the world is free to even talk about this shit because of the United States, the "nightmare" system that has freed you from yourselves far too many fucking times. Have you fucking thought this through? Have you thought of the consequences of letting China or Russia dictate the world climate and economic policy? 

You know what? Why don't you fuck off, join up with Putin or whatever guy is running China at this moment, the same China that did more to kill Copenhagen than the US ever will be able to, and see how they handle things. Then come back in a year or two to see how lovely things are as (literally) a prisoner in a system that does not allow any free fucking speech.  I am sick and tired of the failed states and systems of the world telling me that my country needs to change to meet your whims. So fuck off, losers, and let our system fix itself
