Scott Walker For Governor

Here begins my EXCLUSIVE DPUD COVERAGE of the race for Governor in the great state of Wisconsin.

Take a look at his Brown Bag campaign page.   Three simple, perfectly true statements to live by:

Don’t spend more than you have.
Smaller government is better government.
People create jobs, not government.

This is a very valid question

I was listening to Rush while getting lunch (protip for good times listen to Rush loudly while behind a Prius in line at the Starbucks drive thru [shut up I love Starbucks chai])

Anyhoodle, Rush read a listener email on air that had a fantastic point - whenever there's a terrorist attack the Left rushes out and starts wringing their hands over what we did to deserve to be attacked.  There's a stunning lack of that on display for these claims of threats against the Dems after ramming through the HCR debacle.

Stop!  Doublestandard time!

CNN's murderous Rick Sanchez asks

Via Twitter,

are our fundamentalist zealots different than the ones we fight in afghan and iraq?

Which of course is libspeak for, Hey, let's have a brutal crackdown on these wingnutty wingnuts who are daring to speak out against Marxism and Marxist policies

The left are made up of totalitarian monsters, make no mistake about it.  As for Sanchez?  Another Ted Kennedy type, who got away with getting shitfaced and killing someone with their car.  You ought to be rotting in a jail cell Sanchez, you have no place in civil society.

Family enraged at Baltimore Police

Because the police Commissioner called their son an idiot during an interview.

Of course said idiot was called an idiot because he decided to jump back into his car during a stop, grab a gun in the car and shoot and injure two police officers, who returned fire and killed him.  No, sorry, your kid is an idiot, and that's putting it mildly.

David Shuster Gets Destroyed On His Show Today

Dude!

“I’ve been to hundreds of tea parties around the country. What I can tell you is that I’ve never seen any blacks lynched at one of them. That’s still one of those things that only democrats can hold a distinction about.”

See re prior donut analogy

You know what? I was going to have a nice healthy lunch.  Salad, maybe some fruit.  Not. Now.

Oh. Hey. Did anyone mention all those new requirements for displaying nutritional info everyfreakingwhere in the Historic HCR Biil? No? Bueller?

Look, I would not be horribly opposed to this if it weren't for the fact that I know damn fucking well this isn't about giving me, the consumer, information from which to make my own choices.  Why do I say that?  Oh. I don't know.  How about this?  "Margo Wootan, director of nutrition policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, said it is one step in the fight against obesity."

One step.  That means you plan more.  Ms. Wootan, let me reiterate my oft repeated statement - if the government cannot tell me whether or not I can put a dick in my mouth, the government cannot tell me whether or not I can put a donut in it.

What part of it's my body and my life and my choices and my consequences do you people not comprehend?  Oh.  Wait.  All of it.

You know, when I said I wanted someone to take care of me, I meant it in the Sugar Daddy/Momma sense, not a Paternalistic Government.

Fuck.  That.  Shit.  I'm going to go shovel a bacon & blue burger down my throat.

Oh.  Did I mention recently that I have low cholesterol?  Perfect blood sugars?  Peachy keen liver functions?  Just thought I'd throw that out there since I keep being told I'm going to be ded from fat any second.

Y'all want to make be fat a political statement?  Fine.  By.  Me.

Andrew Sullivan can see past his nose

In his post titled "Face Of The Day," he throws up the following photo and caption (with my emphasis but no link):

Notice anything there, Andi? An initial, perhaps?

And this fucking dolt is supposed to understand the mystery behind a huge (and fake, I might add) conspiracy to hide the actual birth parents of a little boy, much less anything else The Antlantic throws his way?

They're Baaaccckkkk!

Yup. The AGW crowd keeps coming back.

Fuck you, greenies. Fuck you with a rusty waffle iron. Fuck you for worrying about stupid shit like this as a justification for whatever fistfuckingly fucked up future you want to force upon us. Fuck you for using bogus facts as a justification for your unsolicited prison goatse of a plan. And fuck you just because I fucking hate hippies.

And just for the left, please allow me to extend to you what I think of you right now:

Behold the future!

With the sweeping, transformative, unprecedented, [insert-other-O-bot-adjective-here] health care legislation about to hit the nation like a ton of bricks, I thought we would all like to take a glimpse into the future via this purty crystal ball.  Actually, it's not a crystal ball.  It's just the United Kingdom.

Smoking should be banned in all cars as well as in public places where young people congregate, doctors are urging.

The Royal College of Physicians wants England's imminent review of anti-smoking laws to consider such measures to protect the young.

It says passive smoking results in 300,000 extra child visits to GPs in the UK every year for problems such as asthma and bacterial meningitis.

But driving and smoking lobby groups say cars are a "private space".

A number of medical bodies have supported a ban on smoking in cars transporting children, but the RCP goes a significant step further, urging a blanket ban on anyone lighting up in a vehicle - regardless of whether children or indeed any other passengers are inside.

It is calling for a two-pronged approach which would see children protected from second-hand smoke and shielded from the sight of adults smoking - whether in the playground or on the TV.

The RCP's report - Passive Smoking and Children - is being released ahead of the three-year review of the ban on smoking in enclosed public spaces in England. Similar bans have been introduced across the UK, with Scotland having led the way.

Drawing on a series of studies, the report suggests that in the UK, tens of thousands of youngsters are falling ill as a result of exposure to cigarette smoke.

These calculations include 20,000 chest infections, some 22,000 new cases of asthma and wheezing, as well as 200 cases of bacterial meningitis and 40 cases of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome - or cot death.

Each year it claims these account for more than 300,000 visits to a GP - some of which end up in hospital - costing the NHS £23.3m.

The report does concede that these figures are only estimates, but says it is confident they give an "indication" of the number of children who become ill.

I am way too tired to point out how grossly fucking stupid this is.  So I'm just going to go ahead and say that this is fucking stupid.

That'll work

One of the problems we're gonna have in repealing Obamacare is, well, repealing Obamacare.  The problem is you pretty much need control of the House, White House and 60 Senate seats.  The Senate seats are what are gonna make that difficult, not to mention that about a third of our current GOP Senators are complete retards.  So, what do we do?  John Hawkins has a thought on it, which I think is what we need to be looking at as a temporary fix while we try and work towards a repeal, which is defund all the Obamacare mandates

I think this is a handy stopgap measure, if we can get a defunding bill passed, naturally Obama will veto, then we can utilize gridlock, given the unpopularity of Obamacare and Democrats right now, we should be in good position to win in that gridlock, either by getting the defunding signed or by doing damage to the left's polling.  Of course if we get full 60 Senate, House and Oval Office, well, all the better.  From there we can probably start dismantling bits and pieces of Obamacare by slipping repealing measures into unrelated bills.  While I'm disgusted by that type of act generally (see Frist's ban on intarwebs gambling or any number of pork deals or attempted gun bans), I've reached that "If Hitler invaded Hell I'd put a good word in for the Devil in the House of Commons" stage, and I'm willing to bend my own rules to crush these fascist vermin on the left.  But I think Hawkins has this about right, defunding is going to probably be the first practical step in defeating Obamacare.

Don't get mad, give money

Sarah PAC sent me a begging letter wanting money for fighting healthcare.

I'm on her mailing list because I sent money when she stepped down to help pay her legal fees for fighting the BS "ethics" complaints our fine, tolerant, totally into Democracy, leftist friends kept filing.

I'm not going to send her money, but I am going to send money to the opponents of the congress-critters she identified as being Dems in a district she won in 2008.
They are
Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-1), Harry E. Mitchell (AZ-5), Gabrielle Giffords (AZ- , John Salazar (CO-3), Betsy Markey (CO-4). Allen Boyd (FL-2), Suzanne M. Kosmas (FL-24), Baron P. Hill (IN-9), Earl Pomeroy (ND-AL), Charlie Wilson (OH-6), John Boccieri (OH-16), Kathy Dahlkemper (PA-3), Christopher Carney (PA-10), John M. Spratt, Jr. (SC-5), Tom Perriello (VA-5), Alan B. Mollohan (WV-1), and Nick J. Rahall II (WV-3).

And then I'll send my receipt to them to let them know why their opponent is getting money from someone in Virginia.
As soon as Nevada is settled, Reid's opponent will be getting a bunch from me too, with my receipt being forwarded to Reid of course.

My vote and donation to the GOP candidate here are most likely useless, I'm in that scourge of Democracy, a "safe" district.
Even worse, it's Jim Moran's safe district.

Today's Fun Task

After reading a grammatically horrifying tweet from somebody named Ke$ha to somebody named Justin Beeber (or something) I started thinking what great artists/authors/politicians/playwrights would have said on twitter.

So, we're doing either their famous works on twitter or just anything they may have written.  I'm expecting a lot from you.

Because I cannot look at that cackling witch without wanting to burn my eyes out

Madame Speaker really is trying to be Marie, isn't she?

Anyway.  Have something more interesting to look at.  Below is the newest addition to my collection of Tonner dolls.  Funny, I never played with dolls as a child.  It's only now that I'm an adult that my bitch of a BFF is trying to get me to spend all my money I am getting into collectibles.

Gee.  Why did I get that?  It's a mystery really.

Below the fold is Tim Roth.  Because he's AWESOME.

Conscientious Objectors

Can Scientologists gain exemption from the health care mandate because it pays for anti-depressants and they are against them?  I heard somewhere that the Amish get an exemption on religious grounds.  Maybe we need to start a "Conservative" religion.

Useless Review: Alice in Won(eye)derland

Wait, you want a guy with one eye to review a 3-D movie seen in IMAX?
Really?
Allrighty then.
It was okay but....

I had to wear the stupid glasses or the screen was blurry.
So I didn't see 3-D but I did get a headache.
1 star for us blinks.
My double eyed friend thought it was okay but he said the effects got too busy once in a while.

Moron of the Day: I lost it.

I'd think it was one of you but I'm fucking sure none of you could even  half buy a Lamborghini.  Otherwise, the story checks out:

Initially, authorities in England charged Glenn Knowles and Richard Mant with trying to defraud their insurance company. The pair of men co-own a Lamborghini, or at least they did, until Knowles misplaced it during a night of binge drinking. Prosecutors weren't buying the story that Mr. Knowles took the car and then drank until he erased his mind as a way of coping with a bad time in his personal life.

The matter went to trial, and after six days, a jury conceded that it didn't seem like fraud, ultimately acquitting the pair. It's not the first time Knowles has lost a car. He once tucked a Mercedes behind a nightclub so well that it took a deep search to find it. This time, the Lamborghini seriously cannot be found, despite having a tracking system installed.

The "Go-to guy"

So, the top story on Google News right now is a NYT piece on the "Drawbacks" of GOP opposition to Obamacare, and who does Adam Nagourney quote as the "conservative" who thinks this is a bad, bad, horrible thing for the right? Whose remarks prompted Nagourney to say that our side's opposition to this fucking catastrophe "sowed doubts with the public about its [the GOP's] ideas and leadership credentials"? And who was directly quoted as saying that "this thing is not as catastrophic as advertised"?

Here's a clue: Gibbsy is a fan, eh.
