Asshole, Thy Name Is Bob Marshall

Recently, the debate in the Virginia State House turned to the funding of Planned Parenthood. While I am adamantly opposed to the practice of abortion, I feel as though this asshole performs a major disservice to those of us opposed to abortion when he makes  epically idiotic comments such as this.

Western Prince William Del. Bob Marshall, R-13th, says disabled children are God’s punishment to women who have aborted their first pregnancy.

He made that statement last Thursday at a press conference to oppose state funding for Planned Parenthood.

“The number of children who are born subsequent to a first abortion with handicaps has increased dramatically. Why? Because when you abort the first born of any, nature takes its vengeance on the subsequent children,” said Marshall, a Republican.

“In the Old Testament, the first born of every being, animal and man, was dedicated to the Lord. There’s a special punishment Christians would suggest.”

Ahem...

Those dangerous Americans

This has nothing to do with implementing a civilian national security force to control those nasty teabaggers, I'm sure.

Americans who turn to terrorism and plot against the U.S. are now as big a concern as international terrorists, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday.
I'm also certain this doesn't mean we're taking the focus off finding Osama bin Laden, or crushing the Taliban, or securing democracy in Iraq.  Because our government would never turn against its own people rather than focusing on providing for the common defense, would it?

On a side note, can someone explain to me how the examples Napolitano gives of domestic terrorism aren't making a case for locking down immigration from countries that are known sponsors of terrorism?

Teh crayzee, it travels through generations

That dude whose mess Robin DeHaven had to clean up has an adult daughter. She's not DR. AMY BISHOP!!! levels of crazy, but she obviously needs to be kept away from planes, cars, sharp objects, guns, ropes, or anything else that can be fashioned into any sort of weapon.

Asked during a phone interview broadcast Monday if she considered her father a hero, she said: "Yes. Because now maybe people will listen."
She went on to say that her father's final action was "inappropriate".  Is there some sort of "I don't know if you're truly that stupid or if you have an amazing gift of understatement" award we can give to this gal?  Would anyone care to wager as to whether David Koresh and Timothy McVeigh give her a tingly feeling down there?  Is anyone else questioning their rejection of the idea of forced sterilization, given the obvious evidence of genetic batshittery in this family?

DR. AMY BISHOP

I know, I know, we all saw this over at the Head Moron's but. Dude.

There's crazy.  There's batshit crazy.  There's Troofer crazy.  And then there's DR. AMY BISHOP.

Also this has got to be in the running for understatement of the year "Her lawyer says she remembers nothing of the shootings and that he plans to have her evaluated by psychiatrists."

No!  No, she may possibly be DR. AMY BISHOP levels of crazy?  The hell you say!

If I were her colleagues, I wouldn't go to work unless I was wearing a biohazard suit.  Also I'd make my TAs sample all my food and beverages before eating/drinking.

Really, every single time I think this story has hit the limits of weird, it gets weirder.

The level of disrespect this shows is incredible

If you haven't seen the slideshow of the Dalai Lama being rushed out the service entrance of White House, you need to see this.  Unfuckingbelievable.  The Dalai Lama is a major world religious leader, and from what I've seen and heard of him, a decent and good man.  Oh sure, there are probably things we'd disagree on, I'm not a Buddhist, so obvious theological differences, and no doubt he's not perfect, no man is, but I think he's a good man.  He doesn't deserve that, no decent man deserves that.

Do I think the Dalai Lama is bothered by what the Obama administration did to him?  No, I doubt it, he seems like a pretty mellow guy.

I ain't the Dalai Lama.  What the Obama administration did to him was a fucking disgrace and a national embarrassment.

Oh, too bad, so sad

You know, I don't begrudge anybody who makes a shitload of money...as long as they do it in a way that's legit:

The latest blow to those urging action against global warming came last week, when Yvo de Boer said he would step down as United Nations climate chief, two months after 193 countries meeting in Copenhagen failed to reach a binding agreement on curbing greenhouse gases.

[...]

The resignation may reduce the possibility that a worldwide market aimed at reducing carbon emissions is within reach, said Trevor Sikorski, an emissions analyst for Barclays Capital in London.

“It’s a sad day for the carbon market, and we’ll be lucky to get somebody with Yvo’s dedication and hard work as a successor,” Sikorski said.

UN carbon credits have fallen 13 percent on the European Climate Exchange in London since the start of the Copenhagen meeting, which was aiming to set limits for emissions after 2012. The NEX index tracking shares of 86 companies involved in clean energy has tumbled 12 percent since the talks.

You know what? I hope you all lose your fucking shirts, you fucking dishonest pirate bastards. And I'll laugh and laugh if you lose your private jets, limousines, and mansions, too.

You bet your money and credibility on a fucking scam, and you lost. It's not a sad day. It's a fucking great day when something like this happens, you fucking wealth-destroying shitheels. And it'll be an even better day if a bunch of you (including that fattest of fat fucking hypocrites, Algore) end up in jail, though I'm not holding my breath.

You. Fucking. Lose. Go to hell, where it's plenty warm.

The sound of one hand clapping.

If a EUnuchstanian gov't falls and nobody notices, does it still show that Bush wasn't the problem?

The Dutch Gov't fell over keeping troops in Afghanistan and nobody has seemed to notice.
Apparently the PM wanted to send troops and the Deputy PM didn't, so the PM told the Queen he can't form a gov't.
I don't know what's next.
It's kinda scary/interesing in a few ways.

First, that's cold.
It's gone totally unnoticed, at least at Drudge, Hot Air, Instapundit, any other blog or, I assume, TV or else at least one of those would have mentioned it.
How inconsequential are they that only one, lone blogger at DPUD is talking about it?

Any of our fine, media betters who notice will probably ignore it because it appears the Dutch, even with all their green sticky weed, are not seeing the unicorns or the rainbows of Hope and Change.
That just doesn't fit the proper narrative.

Last, but perhaps most ominous, are we about to be on our own all over the world?
The Aussies will probably stay, but if EUnuchstans start dropping out, well, the British don't seem to want to be with us anymore.

I think the Canadians are still fighting too, but if the Eunuchs leave us be, well, the Canadians and Aussies might decide they aren't the world's police either.

Interesting times indeed. It's funny how Obama is uniting the world.
Just not on our side.

And here. we. go.

Many Jews are leaving Malmo due to the rise in hate crimes. And the utter failure of the state to protect them.

And, naturally, the ever so tolerant politicians on the Left are blaming Israel.

Malmo's Jews, however, do not just point the finger at bigoted Muslims and their fellow racists in the country's Neo-Nazi fringe. They also accuse Ilmar Reepalu, the Left-wing mayor who has been in power for 15 years, of failing to protect them.

Mr Reepalu, who is blamed for lax policing, is at the centre of a growing controversy for saying that what the Jews perceive as naked anti-Semitism is in fact just a sad, but understandable consequence of Israeli policy in the Middle East. . . .

The mayor insisted to The Sunday Telegraph that he was opposed to anti-Semitism, but added: "I believe these are anti-Israel attacks, connected to the war in Gaza.

"We want Malmo to be cosmopolitan and safe for everybody and we have taken action. I have started a dialogue forum. There haven't been any attacks on Jewish people, and if Jews from the city want to move to Israel that is not a matter for Malmo."

Fuck you, Mr. Reepalu.  Fuck.  You.  You're ever so motherfucking proud of building a glorious shining beacon of multiculturalism that it's just fucking fine when those pesky Jews are put in the line of fire.  I mean, some eggs simply have to get broken to make that glorious omelet.  And if it's the same set of eggs that get broken in Europe all the time, well, them's the breaks.

You know, I've seen this movie.  I know how this ends.  Steyn's right, Europe is going to deal with this in the historical manner.  It's just that this time, demographics favor the other side.

So fuck your rhetoric of tolerance and inclusion.  Fuck.  That.  Shit.  You don't mean it.  Not at all.

Living La Vida Moron

Is this old? I've been waiting a few days to post it because I was expecting to see it.
So anyway, they tried a stripper-mobile in Vegas but were told to stop it.
No, not a bunch of strippers suspended from threads above your bed, but a glass-sided truck with strippers cruising the Strip. (heh, I just got the joke).
So you have a good idea but Sin City threw you out. Atlantic City pols want too much in bribes. What to do, what to do?
Florida! Brilliant!
So it's cruising Tampa hotspots like Ybor City.

Live Avatar Role Playing.
Real or Satire? I can't decide.

Favorite line?
"We're not doing this because it's cool, we're doing this because it's important."
I was with him for the first half of that sentence.
Then he lost me.
If not for all the time to dress up in blue I'd say, "Satire", those two couldn't look any more lame trying to shoot those bows if they tried.

Not worth getting upset over

I see The Only Man Who Can Save AmericaTM won the CPAC straw poll. John Hinderaker's being a little whiny about it,

This is dismaying, to the extent one takes it seriously. Ron Paul is the crazy uncle in the Republican Party’s attic. He is not a principled libertarian like, say, Steve Forbes.

Why is Hinderaker letting this bug him? They're Paulbots, they spam polls, it's what they fucking do.  If they can find a way to spam a poll, by God, they spam the hell out of that poll. Why get all bent out of shape over it? The Paulnut spammers are like the Underpants Gnomes,

Phase 1) Spam poll for Ron Paul
Phase 2) ???????
Phase 3) Profit!

When it comes to his rabid fans, all you can really do is throw up your hands, laugh and say what are you gonna fuckin' do?  They are what they are, it's not worth getting worked up over them.  They're a minor annoying embarrassment and distraction, nothing more.

Speaking of which, anyone think of this when you think Ron Paul supporters?

Here he is taking on Max Blumenthal.

Then, he toys with another asshole.

Folks, once again, never, ever back down. Never give an inch to them. And be fearless when they are in your presence, for they know not what to do when counterattacked.
****UPDATE!**** Well, it looks as though Daryle Lamont wasn't through being a jackass. Here he is after Breitbart destroyed him.

When you need a blustering overinflated ego

So they're turning "Shit My Dad Says" into a television series. I'm not sure if William Shatner is more perfectly cast because the first syllable of his name is the past tense, or because he's aptly described, by Agent Bedhead:

the definition for “aging blowhard” has no words, just a picture of William Shatner taken any time in the last few years.
I'm certain there's someone out there who hasn't experienced the awesome windbagginess of Shatner, although I feel fairly certain that all three of our readers have. So just in case...

Just because no Shatner retrospective would be complete without it...

And in case you need a palate cleanser.  Not lesbian porn, but at least good for a giggle.

Tilting at windmills

If you're in PA, I'm sure you're well aware of Fast Eddie Rendell's push for "green" energy in PA and "green jobs", in particular, a big push for windmills.  Of course you're all aware that green power facilities usually require massive subsidies just to get built.  cbullitt notes that Fast Eddie's going around to different cities and pimping Porkulus and green jobs, and the crock it is.  And I'm not totally shitting on windmills as energy sources, there's no doubt that there are places where there's good steady wind, and putting up a windmill is actually a clever way to produce some energy.  But that's not what this is, most of this is feelgood stuff, stealing from Peter to pay Paul, and an excuse to grow government and suppress enterprise, and it'll take a looooong time to even break even on the investment, if you even do break even.  It really is neat technology, but it just has limited application in the broader energy grid.

But I thought I'd note too, right now we're producing a traditional source of energy in PA, and no, it's not coal, though certainly we still have coal mining in the state.  It's been discovered that are major deposits of natural gas in PA, in particular in Northcentral PA.  We've seen a lot of people locally working natural gas extraction, or supporting, supplying or advising, this is energy producers themselves, contractors, subcontractors, and probably consultants too.  The Texas accent is usually a dead giveaway.  In fact, saw a Halliburton (ZOMGTEHEVUL!!!1!1eleventy!1) truck a few days ago.  And let me tell you, if you let these guys set up shop on your property, they compensate you very well, and from what I'm hearing, most, if not all agree to take on costs of environmental damage on your property in their contracts.  There's no doubt that the gas producers probably see something for setting up shop here, but I doubt there seeing what Fast Eddie's windmill producers are seeing.
