Fifth Grade Class Pushes for Colorado State Reptile
The bill is going to be sent to the House soon, with a proposal to make the Western painted turtle Colorado's official state reptile.

The State Affairs committee voted 9-1 on moving the bill to the state House for a full vote, the lone jerk who voted to crush these young kids hopes was Douglas Bruce. Though he also apparently got himself in a bit of trouble recently for kicking a newspaper photographer, so I guess he isn't all bad.
I think I know who is gonna be very happy about this if it does pass...
