Its that smarmy media whore and slimeball who claims his wife ran off with another man, of course, most people think he killed her and his last wife and police are having a hard time finding evidence because he's a cop and knows what to destroy and hide. 

We at least know he was often an abusive dick to her, and just a dick the rest of the time.  In any case, he's hired a publicist, I'm assuming because they want a go-between to keep him from saying something to incriminate himself.  He's also apparently in some deal I'm assuming the rights to his story for a made-for-TV movie, I'm assuming this was the guy making the deal with the bastard,
