Like spreadsheets? Sure, we all do. This one lets you compare yourself to Obama, Hillary and McCain on the issues.
EPIC FAIL

The Jewish Council for the Aging gave Phil Donahue an award and an hour to rant about the Bushitler and America. Unsurprisingly, Attila(who is Jewish) isn't impressed, and says there are plenty of other worthy Jewish charities to support.
California: The EPIC FAIL State. Speaking of the Soviet of California... a two dollar tax hike on a six of beer?
Fun 'shop from Slublog.
Yeah, where is the condemnation from Reuters over Hezbollah's beating of their photographers? If the Israelis had done it, the screeching would shatter glass.

No, I haven't posted that music video. Hostages have your latest dose of giant boobage, and the finalist and winners for their list of Worst Sex Toy Names, and open the firing salvo in the Boob War. Caliban fires back with a video from some guy named Rodney Carrington (comedian?), which is definitely Not Safe for Work. I have to give round one to The Hostages, because my Yankee ears bleed when they hear country.
Canadian censorship campaign continues.
Wow, I'm impressed we had someone take such a firm line with China. I'm sure the State Department will quickly get on its hands and knees and beg forgiveness for this.

The thugs that run Myanmar seized the UN's first shipment of emergency aid food and supplies, which means UN Aid shipments are now suspended until the government allows the UN to do its relief work or the UN capitulates. They've also rejected US aid.
Oh, shit!
Seems that a lot of people are opting to support individual candidates over just giving funds to the GOP. I've already got a small list of downticket people that might be good to support, hopefully the bigger sites will take the same idea and run with it.

The state is taking a month longer than the 60 days allowed by law to process original applications and 80 days longer on renewals, which are supposed to be handled within 45 days.
The department that handles the processing for the licenses is already having employees work overtime, and are taking on temp workers to try and get back on top of things.
The two big factors that are causing this uptick are the looming threat of the Democrats and their anti-2nd madness and a larger number of younger people looking for protection in response to college massacres like VTech and NIU.
I'm guessing that not only will conceal carry license requests will go up nationally in response to the possibility of Democrats taking DC, but I'm guessing firearm, ammunition and accessory sales will be surprisingly strong this year. I think the prospect of the Democrats making gains in Congress, possibly taking the White House, and McCain's Maverickyness has people on edge and they're either buying their first firearms or buying more and stockpiling out of fear of bans or more abusive regulation.
Ding! A bonus Five-seveN hysteria story, watch as a blogger from Kissing Suzy Kolber eviscerates a media tool who's in full on Gun Panic mode over some athlete who had one. Previous Five-seveN/PS90 hysteria blogging. (H/T Eddiebear)

There is a Yemeni journalist named Abdulkarim al-Khaiwani who is well respected in Yemen for his pro-democracy views. Well, he's not so respected by the thugs in charge of Yemen, they're putting him on trial, and may give him the death penalty. So there's a petition going around online to try and pressure the Yemeni government to back down. I doubt it'll have an impact on those monsters, but maybe it'll get our own State Department to do its one good deed this year. You can drop by CB's, MyVRWC and the Jawas for more information and where to sign the petition.

Interesting project started up by Jon Henke, Patrick Ruffini and Soren Dayton to develop a sort of conservative activist portal. I do think this is needed, I think what it needs to do is figure out how to bridge the gap between nationally focused sites, locally focused ones and try and connect them with actual people.
There are smart solutions to address our energy needs, they just aren't happening.

Heh.
The worthless House GOP are worried about double digit losses this year, the worthless Senate GOP is less worried, now that Al Franken is self-destructing.

Joey Vento is a good guy, he's donating all of his profits to the memorial fund of the Philly officer who was killed by those bank robbers. Speaking of which, they caught another one of the vermin. I think Vento started the whole give a day's profit to charity after 9/11, but I could be wrong.
I agree, Lake County ought to be looked at with more scrutiny then it has been getting, and I don't think it'll happen because the media is so clearly in Obama's corner, they aren't going to press the point.

It was redundant and taking up a ton of room to have all the blogs listed twice, so if your blog was on both the Moronosphere roll and my regular roll, it'll just be on the Moronosphere roll now, with the exception of Ace, because he's the Moron-in-Chief.

So, I've got four names off the top of my head, I'll have to look into the archives to find some more, I'm from PA, so three of them are in PA, and one from MD, but if you've got some more, that'd be great.
Lou Barletta, in District 11, in Northeast PA. You may remember Barletta as the mayor of Hazleton, PA. Hazleton was one of the first cities to impose tough sanctions and enforcement on illegal immigration and businesses who hired them. Hazleton did and continues to do the job the federal government refuses to do because of Barletta. He won reelection in a landslide, a testament to popular support of his performance. And you have to love a Republican who will take a piss on McCain's shoes for his Amnesty policy. I bet that has the PA GOP gnashing their teeth.
Chris Hackett, in District 10, in Northcentral PA. Hackett was a businessman before jumping into politics. Unlike his primary opponent, Hackett was opposed to pork, and is focusing his campaign on the obscene amount of wasteful spending coming out of DC. The GOP lost D10 in 2006 to scandal, but is a solidly conservative district, and we should be able to reclaim it.
Glenn Thompson, District 5, Central PA. Glenn faced a tough field in the primary, with several very wealthy businessmen who put a ton of cash into ads and campaigning. In particular, a somewhat ham-handed and sleazy guy named Matt Shaner. Glenn had the least funding and was the most low-key of those running, but still won. Joe at Alabama in Between favored Thompson over the other candidates, and I trust his judgment. Thompson should be able to take the seat from what I've seen Joe report, his opponent is a dunce, I guess, but he'd be a good candidate to support too.
Andy Harris, in District 1, Maryland. Harris defeated the sitting Congressman in the Primary, who was a total RINO of the Lincoln Chafee mold. Unfortunately for Harris, he now has to face the Democrat who now has at least one of the RINOs top campaign workers working against him now too. Conservatives are always told to shut up, sit down, eat the turd sandwich and like it, RINOs refuse to do it and go Vichy. Let's make them eat one here.
Toni Gilhooley, District 17, PA. Conservative Belle suggested her, and I think she'd be a big improvement over Democrat Tim Holden. PA might be a good place to look at for downticket moves this year, Obama is not gonna do well here, and there are a few seats that Blue Dogs and pro-2nd or pro-life Dems have taken in earlier elections, but with the potential for a weak presidential candidate performance here, maybe we can ride that wave.

What has me worried is the potential for conservatives who are pissed off and hate McCain to stay home if it looks like he'll lose this fall. While many would go to the polls to vote downticket, many may stay home. I still think that if its Obama, McCain has this won, simply because Obama 's Marxism will be too repulsing for voters, if I'm wrong, we may have serious problems on our hands, here's what has me worried.
We saw how the media predicted Kerry would win in 2004, if its close, all media exit polls always favor Democrats, and they were in fairly aggressive propaganda mode to begin with. However, GOP voters were motivated in 2004, Bush hadn't completely pissed off the base yet, and GOP voters went to polls despite media propagandizing that we'd lose. We're all now familiar with the Republican Polling Penalty, we were motivated, we won. Huzzah.
2008 is a different animal. My concern is that if conservatives think the GOP is going to lose, they'll just stay home, as a "screw you!" sendoff to McCain and the RINOs, and we'll see a Democrat deluge. That conservatives will only support the GOP in November if they can win. I think if its a close race, media is going to have a much bigger impact on morale and GOP voter turnout than it did in 2004. Conservatives hate the GOP right now, hate McCain, and are only going to do the bare minimum to keep the Democrats at bay, and are looking for any opportunity to send a message to the GOP leadership.
Unfortunately, McCain is doing his absolute damnedest to help that potential scenario along by pissing on conservatives yet again, and giving them yet one more reason to walk away in November. This is part of why I cringe now every time McCain insists on doing these things, I see a potential disaster in the making, and doing things like meeting with shady groups like La Raza only makes it that much more likely.
It would be foolish to blame conservatives if this were to happen, McCain and the GOP know that you can only abuse your supporters and take them for granted for so long before they abandon you or start looking for opportunities to abandon you. I think McCain is going to be banking on the inability of the left to challenge him in the fall. My prediction, McCain will walk to first base or be the third strikeout with bases loaded.

I'd say this is a pretty serious accusation, but it would be such a mediocre thing compared to the laundry list of treasonous douchebaggy things Baghdad Jim McDermott has done, I'd feel silly.
