Amnesty International Declares Countries That Restrict Abortion Are Human Rights Violators

Glad to see they've got time to focus on this now that the Chinese have quit oppressing their citizens, genocide has ended in Africa and women have rights in the Middle East. 

As pissed as I am with Weekly Standard in their douchebaggy defense and advocating of Amnesty, they nail this one.  Amnesty Int'l chooses not to make their abortion views a publicly announced position. 

They have a bunch of spin and talking points to try and disarm the less aware, but most conservatives can see what utter garbage that is, as you can see in the following quote.

The news was to be kept secret--but if the story got out anyway, members were to respond immediately: "Some media reports and individuals have claimed that AI promotes a 'human right to abortion.' This grossly misrepresents AI's policy on sexual and reproductive rights. AI takes no position on whether abortion is right or wrong, nor

on whether or not abortion should be legal."

They also claim to not make a judgement on when life begins.  But as the article points out, and is obvious to anyone, their actions speak louder than their words. They want abortion legal, deploying the oft-used health exception, which everyone knows is a crock.  They are also opposed to the Partial Birth Abortion Ban...Shocking, yes, I know!


Catholic groups are already declaring that it is no longer acceptable to support Amnesty International because supporting abortion is a violation of human rights in itself.  Amnesty International took a swipe in response, saying they protect others but don't impose their will on others.
Which is utter bullshit, they're trying to impose their will on Catholics who oppose abortion, and violating the rights to the unborn from the Catholic perspective.

I hope this goes public in a big way, and Amnesty International gets embarrassed and damaged in reputation, its obvious what they are doing.

 Amnesty International spends more time throwing feces at the US like a bunch of angry monkeys than at the most abhorrent violators of human rights on the planet, countries like Saudi Arabia.  I could tolerate them if they showed any capacity in good faith when discussing human rights, but it has become clear is isn't.

 I hope the American people recognize what a fraud Amnesty International has become, a once decent organization turned into yet another Anti-American/Anti-Israel hate apparatus. 

Sadly,  I wouldn't be surprised if this boosts the strength of Amnesty International, as rabid leftists the world over glom onto the the organization in order to try and humiliate and knock the US down.
