A spectacularly bad idea

Every conservative in America knows that the MSM is in the tank for Democrats in general and Obama in particular. What should we do about it? Well, not this:

And the claims that the GOP wants to censor journalists begin in 3...2...1...

Allah highlights the most idiotic part:
“To me, the greatest threat to America is not necessarily a recession or even another terrorist attack. The greatest threat to America is a liberal media bias.”
Yeah, because liberal bias kills people and steals their money for a bunch of government boondoggles. Well, it may actually help with the latter, but still.

Worst of all, this sure as hell blunts our arguments against the re-imposition of the fairness doctrine, doesn't it? When you've got a GOP Congressman implying that there's a problem with the fact that most MSM reporters donate to the Dems, and that we need a caucus to deal with that, doesn't that hand the other side a pretty effective talking point about talk radio?

Eh, it might have been unhelpful, but it's at least defensible if not true.

How did we lose Vietnam? Walter Cronkite went on the news and told us so. After we destroyed the Viet Cong he declared the war lost.

So who was more dangerous to America, the Viet Cong or Walter Cronkite?

I don't like any calls for commissions (truth or otherwise), so I'm absolutely against that, but I agree that they are more dangerous.

Who's more dangerous, some jihadi who wants to kill me or the NY Times for disclosing secret CIA ops so they can't catch him before he tries to kill me?

And who's more dangerous to America, some jihadi who wants to kill me or the media who is refusing to ask any question of their messiah.

They downplay NoKo and his sucking up to Arab dictators while dissing Iraqi and Israeli democrats and not even mentioning the freedom grasping going on in Lebanon. The Lebanese need all the help they can get and he's busy bashing Israel. The real occupation in the middle east and he's ignoring it for the kabuki show that is the "Palestinian" "refugee" "problem". They are only "refugees" and a "problem" because the other Arab nations don't like them and they're only "Palestinians" because "former Jordanians" and "former Egyptians" isn't a good cudgel against the Israelis.

They won't ask any questions about the dismantling of our capitalistic system.

Has anybody asked where trillions of dollars just went? They won't even ask where the tens of billions of dollars that we gave GM went.

Obama is declaring victory on everything he's done and the media allows it.

Also, the whole reason he's president is because the media didn't do their job.

They got him elected, I bet 99.94939%* of the people who were voting for him couldn't name one domestic policy he was for. And in that percentage, I include the 88.63%* who would say a policy he didn't back. As in, I'm sure a bunch of homerseckshuls (cough Andrew Sullivan gag) would have said he backed gay marriage.

He's still fairly popular even though each and every policy decision he's made is unpopular. Think about that.

In short, the statement is defensible right up until you start to talk about using  anything except more free speech.

(*As always: unless linked or with citation, all statistics are pulled out of my ass).
