A friendly PSA to everyone above...a certain age
The word "gangbangers" no longer means what it once did. Stop using it to describe gang members. It only confuses/titillates the young people.

It's not my problem young people haven't learned English.
It's not my problem anybody hasn't learned English.
That's why I still use the word "niggardly".

Actually, "gangbanger" is returning to the meaning it had in previous generations ... it briefly passed through the gang member stage. it is now returning to its rightful place as a source of titillation.

Yeah, it meant pulling a train when I was younger. When I first heard it applied to homies I did at least a double take.

I've never heard it as "someone who gangbangs", I've only ever heard it as a gang member.

Interesting. I've always heard 'gangbang' in the sexual sense, but 'gangbanger' was ALWAYS a reference to a member of a criminal gang, and not one who engages in a gangbang.
