Barack Obama has finally sealed the nomination, and that's got at least one Democratic Congressman a little nervous:
Democratic Rep. Dan Boren of Oklahoma said Tuesday Barack Obama is "the most liberal senator" in Congress and he has no intention of endorsing him for the White House.[...]
Boren, the lone Democrat in Oklahoma's congressional delegate, said that while Obama has talked about working with Republicans, "unfortunately, his record does not reflect working in a bipartisan fashion."
No shit, Dan. But Obama shouldn't worry because, as with most politicians, Party comes before principles*:
owever, Boren will vote for Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August and will vote Democratic on Nov. 4.
Boren is a Blue Dog Democrat whose district is R+5, and his ACU rating is a 63 (higher than a lot of Republicans in Congress) so this is not entirely unexpected. Gotta fool the conservative home district into thinking you're not really behind Sen. Obama 100%.
Best part? Boren's father, David Boren, is a former Oklahoma Senator who has endorsed Obama, and may have been on Obama's list of potential vice presidential nominees. Kinda puts a cog in that plan.
*I wish that the GOP were different, but alas...
