I just saw a news story on the local Fox channel about a "Gifts for Guns" program that the L.A. County Sheriff's Department was doing where you could turn in any gun at one of their stations and get a $50 gift card for somewhere like Best Buy, "no questions asked."  That gets dangerous weapons off of the streets, right?  Well, every gun they showed the deputies collecting was a rusty rifle that looked like it hadn't been fired since the Korean War.  Seriously, one of them looked like it had spent a few years resting on the ocean floor.
