Janet Schulte believed the man when he told her by phone that his 40-something, disabled brother needed a caregiver who could bottle-feed him and change his diapers.
What the Melbourne woman can't believe is that he committed no crime, now that she said she has found out the situation was a charade: that the man and his brother were same person. And that he didn't have the disabilities he claimed to have.
"I feel violated," Schulte said, sharing her story because she said the man has deceived other women and will try again. "I feel disgusted."
Investigators and prosecutors have refused to pursue charges, saying Schulte was paid and agreed to provide the care.
FLORIDA TODAY is not identifying him because he is not being charged.
"I consented to change his diapers, but I legitimately thought this man needed help," she said. "How can that not be a crime for him to come into my house and expose himself?"
I know I should be outraged but I just keep laughing instead. On the one hand this guy should get kicked in the balls a bunch for being an asshole but on the other hand, he paid some stranger to change his shitty diapers and that is funny, I don't care who you are.
Verdict: Win!

Football starts in 2 hours in historic Canton, OH. Life is good.
In honor of the upcoming season, I would just like to post one of the things that football's all about.
I laugh my ass off each and every time I watch that interview.
My favorite part? When T.O. said, "That's my quarterback" I know that Garcia and McNabb freaked out, and when he said, "We lost as a team" they got even more enraged and when he went on about how he always has his quarterback's back? They threw their coffee tables through their TVs.
That was a good day
Exit question, would it be better for Buffalo if TO is injured tonight or if he lasts the whole season?

*Fires sixty guns into the air*
Sure, the U.S. continues to condemn Zelaya's ouster and still seeks mediation of the dispute through Costa Rican President Oscar Arias. But no U.S. sanctions means Hondurans have won.
Things could have worked out differently. Venezuela's Hugo Chavez first called for invading Honduras. That threat passed as it became clear Chavez couldn't project his power there.
Next, civil unrest was threatened by Zelaya. But Hondurans astounded the world by standing by their Congress, Supreme Court, attorney general, businesses and the church, all of which declared that Zelaya had violated the constitution and had to go.
Zelaya might have regained power, but only by becoming a dictator and ending Honduras' democracy. The people ended that.
The scariest outcome for Honduras was U.S. sanctions. They would have crushed the tiny country dependent on the U.S. for 80% of its trade. No sanctions, no Zelaya.
This isn't to say U.S. policymakers are happy or that the dispute is over. Honduras is still suspended from the Organization of American States, its trade has been disrupted, Venezuela's oil is still cut off, and its officials still can't get U.S. visas. But the worst is over. Whatever changes that come will be by Honduran consent alone.
The U.S. still supports Arias' mediation, and if that helps, good.
By ending the threats, talks can begin. Constructive solutions, like early elections or persuading Honduras' congress to add an impeachment law to its constitution, can now be put on the table.

Florida governor Charlie Crist will be making a replacement appointment. Crist is regarded as a potential 2012 presidential candidate; this is a chance for us to see what sort of leadership we can expect from him on a national level. So don't fuck it up, Charlie!

Automatic. Pancake. Machine. Now if only it grilled up some bacon too, it would be the perfect machine. Well, next to Kristanna Loken. And if it made the bacon, I'd reconsider that.

Here's the guy's dealership. Go buy cars now! If only to piss off the CNN interviewer.

A giant photo of the soldier hung in the piazza, with the words "Rome wants its citizen Gilad Shalit free" - words Mayor Alemanno repeated at the evening ceremony.
I'm sure you're asking, "WTF?! I thought Gilad Shalit was Israeli!" or maybe if your online alias is Palin Steele, "Who the hell is Gilad Shalit and why should I look up a minor piece of trivia?!" This is the part that is so moving:
Mayor Gianni Alemanno told those assembled of his ties to the Shalit family and to Israel. He met with Noam Shalit several weeks ago, when he visited Sderot, and called on all the capitals of Europe to give Gilad honorary citizenship. "We must bolster the message and all fight towards one goal," he said, "bringing Gilad safe and well to his family."
...
The city council voted to give Shalit honorary citizenship to coincide with Thursday's third anniversary of his capture in a cross-border raid from Gaza.

For those of you not watching the show, and you really should be, Veridian Dynamics is the company for which they work. I think I posted this before, but it's worth posting again.

First, today is my birthday. Yes, it's a Major One. Yes, I'm having Issues. But, hey, it's better than the alternative.
Second, I'm out of the country visiting the BFF for a week and I have limited internet access so I might not be around very much. I'm not ignoring the fascinating things y'all are saying, I'm just not able to read it.
Don't do anything I wouldn't do.
