I gotta admit, I'm with her. I'd have the same reaction if Harry Reid touched me and said what he said.

I really like the look on her face when he says that GOPers and Dems said, "...Mr. President, whatever decision you make we'll support it." about Afghanistan.

I'm at least partially impressed because I didn't think her face was mobile enough to change expression not just once but twice. Look how far her eyebrows move when he says the last bit. I always thought they were painted on and she had to decide what emotion she was going to show so they could paint them on correctly.

Behold! A five minute clip from 2012. Look. It's not good. I know it's not going to be good. I know I'm going to want to throat punch Emmerich when Dick Cheney turns out to be causing the planet to blow up. I. Don't. Care. I'm so there opening night.

On another note, I really really love Amanda Peet. I don't know why, I just do. Also, if you haven't seen her and Cusack in Identity I highly, highly recommend it. Clever idea, well executed and I was stunned by the ending.

Good for Jerry Brown:

California Attorney General Jerry Brown on Thursday said he is investigating the community organizing group ACORN in response to a request from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In a letter to the governor, Brown's office said it would look into the group that has come under fire in recent videos produced by conservative activists.

Of course, this bit of good news doesn't come without a bite of the good ol' shit sammich...

The state will also look into the circumstances under which ACORN employees were videotaped, said Scott Gerber, a spokesman for Brown.

It's not like I have any hopes or dreams for the continued political career of Jerry Brown, but he might just want to re-think that in the wake of the public's outrage where ACORN is concerned.

Win barely edges out the FAIL Britannia tag. BrewDog is a brewery in Scotland...something's missing, ah,

What can I say, part Scot, I gotta have more cowbell bagpipes, and Scotland the Brave is kickass. Anyway, BrewDog is a brewery in Scotland, and they created a particularly potent beer, which is about 18% alcohol, or about 36 proof, which is very high for beer. Anyway, a bunch of UK nannies threw a shitfit, made a big stink about it, won't someone please think of the children, etc, ad infinitum. The folks at BrewDog did exactly the right thing, put out a 2 proof beer (1.1% alcohol), and named it Nanny State. Of course this is the response from the dour, humourless fucktard Nanny Staters,

Jack Law, chief executive of Alcohol Focus Scotland, said of the new Nanny State beer: "This is a positive move which proves that low strength doesn't compromise quality.
"However the name of the beer proves that once again this company is failing to acknowledge the seriousness of the alcohol problem facing Scotland."

It must be hell being this guy, probably stays up at night having absolute panic attacks over the thought that someone, somewhere is enjoying life.

Freaking Amazing

I heard about this lady on NPR today. She is the winner of Ukraine's Got Talent for 2009. A sand artist, in this clip she tells the story of Ukraine's occupation by the Nazis from 1941 to 1945. An occupation in which 25% of the population was killed. I am not a super-sentimental person but I was almost in tears when it was over.
