So.  I just got back from Transformers 2.   Let me put it this way, it's Michael Bay directing a movie about robots smashing into each other.  The odds I wouldn't like it are, pretty much, non-existent.

Not too spoilery but I'll put below the fold.
It was terrific fun.  It's a Michael Bay Summer Popcorn Movie.  There's robots.  They smash each other.  Good times, good times.

And, hell yes, there was a swipe at diplomacy being the cure all.  Hell, Optimus Prime point blank says "but what if you're wrong?"  The interesting thing is that I don't think Bay has a political bent about it.  He just loves the US military with all his heart.  Seriously, the good guys are the US and Aussie military.  The weenie is the diplomat.  Two thumbs up to that.

I do have one major, major complaint.  Tyrese Gibson was not naked.  Now, he was toting guns around and shooting things so that sort of makes up for it.  Not completely though.
