We should read absolutely nothing into this
I'm not sure which is more horrifying...that a giant statue of Jesus was struck by lightning, or that this particular giant statue of Jesus cost $700,000. (h/t Amy Welborn)
And of course, the obligatory MC 900 Foot Jesus video. (No, I'm not particularly fond of their music, but it just fits so well here.)
