Outside of the pretentious Powerliners, anybody else know much about Minnesota politics? Does a third party guy (Barkley) throw any poll in the garbage can? How can a state that is overwhelmingly Democrat even hope to keep a Republican as Senator?
Elizabeth Dole is the worst fucking campaigner ever. She was pitiful in the 2006 cycle, and has no clue in her race against a virtual nobody. If the numbers game wasn't so dire, I would say let her lose just to go away.
Keep an eye on Robin Carnahan in MO. She is the MO Secretary of State, and if her brother (Congressman Russ) doesn't run for Kit "Last Call" Bond's seat in 2010, she will. And she is beloved by the ACORN crowd for her work in helping perpetuate voter fraud in the 2006 and 2008 elections, though not as ridiculously as what is going on in Ohio.
No way Saxby Chambliss loses GA unless massive vote fraud takes place in Atlanta an Athens (home of UGA).
Ditto that guy in Mississippi picked to be Trent "Chester" Lott's successor.
Piss on Ted Stevens. Fucker should never have run for re-election knowing he was awaiting trial. And double piss on the Alaskans who voted for him and Don Young in the primaries. How fucking stupid are you? You are about to give those seats to Democrats because of your primary votes.
How sad is it that we are holding out hope that Susan Collins and Mitch McConnell are our bulwarks against 60?

Some possible tips to use are the figure 8 with your tongue, going up and down simultaneously with your hand, or even a little symbolic suck on his finger to make him start thinking about it. Make sure to avoid using your teeth, as the idea of biting his member off is not something he probably wants to be worrying about.
Probably? What do you mean, probably? Unless there are some major trust issues and/or a history of violence, I'm pretty sure the word you're looking for there is definitely. Sheesh.
The idea of trusting a woman that she will not bite you (at least not hard) with her sharp teeth millimeters from your best part is erotic like hell to me...

Does this mean anything to you?
I live in a fairly conservative part of Los Angeles County (yeah,
really, we exist) and I've noticed a distinct lack of yard signs around
here. There's one house on my block with a yes on prop 8 (the
ballot measure that would ban gay marriage) sign, but that's it.
There are a few McCain-Palin signs on the surrounding streets, but no
Obama signs whatsoever.
I've also noticed while driving around town that there are very few
cars with political bumper stickers this year. Again, a few
McCain-Palin stickers here and there, and absolutely no Obama stickers. Not even on cars driven by younger people.
5
Funny, I haven't seen any M/P stickers here in OC, but several O! stickers on cars. Generally high end cars of the type that folks making $250k+ drive.

If I remember correctly, people who vote against their "economic interests" are somehow stupid. Wasn't that the point of the liberal Bible, "What's the Matter with Kansas?"
7
I'm seeing a lot of "No on 2" signs (public funding for embryonic stem cell research, and a ban on future laws that would prevent banning the use of any therapies, not sure how that's legal) here in Ann Arbor. We've got an occasionally-thuggish student/leftist local population, so I've been assuming that most of the "No on 2"s are a good proxy for McCain voters.
And I hate "What's the Matter With Kansas?", the premise that people who won't vote for bread and circuses are somehow stupid is offensive.

On the campus of Rhode Island College, we have three kinds of cars: Priuses with Obama stickers, Priuses with Obama stickers and anti-Bush stickers, and SUVs with Obama stickers.
The rest of Massachusetts and Rhode Island? Lather, rinse, repeat patchoulli, water bong, repeat.

I live in the Torrance, and in my neck of the woods the M/P signs and stickers seem to outnumber the O! signs and stickers by a healthy margin. Granted, there isn't all that much in the way of campaign signs or stickers around here, but what there is seems to favor McCain and Palin. Not sure what (if anything) this means, but there you go.
After living in San Francisco for a decade an a half, I'm just happy to see any GOP campaign materials on display at all. Shoulda moved down here sooner...

The combination of Ashley Todd getting mutilated and no one outside of the right-wing blogosphere caring about Obama's donation fraud has caused me to sink into my blogging safety niche. Ace has LOLcat blogging, I have movie blogging.
Also, I found a reason for everyone to vote for McCain. I talked to the lady I interviewed with last month in DC, and she said that I'm her first choice, but the position is on hold. Their organization is waiting to see if the economy gets better and to see who wins the election. Given that this is an anti-earmark, anti-spending organization, I think a McCain win will help me out a lot.
1
Uh dude? Don't go out on a limb on this Ashley Todd thing, it's looking like she may have faked it. Maybe not, but just keep a skeptical eye on it until proven either way

The cops are contesting her story, her testimony conflicts with ATM camera footage, they're asking her to do a polygraph etc etc. Just wait until the thing is confirmed, or we look fucking stupid and the media will seize on this to harp on for the next two weeks, as an excuse to ignore ACORN and every other piece of democratic violence and sleaze. Is it not too much to ask we not put our foot in every goddamn bear trap from here to the election? Just wait to see what the cops say.
Hugh Hewitt has already jumped the gun an mentioned this on TV, if she turns out a hoaxer, it's Barrak's very own Joe the plumber. If this dumb bitch faked it thinking she was 'helping the cause', I will personally fly out there and murder her.

Amos - I think you need to be very very cautious about what you
say, because it certainly sounds to me like you have no problems at all
advocating violence against a woman. That is not cool and is flatly
unacceptable.
If you look on this very site, you'll see that there is a disagreement as to whether or not the story is credible. Also, I was not being bitchy, I was asking about evidence since, at the time that I posted my comment, the information you're now referencing had not yet surfaced. The vast, vast majority of comments I've seen have expressed concern that we wait and see what the police say.

The cops now say the story is fake and she confessed to fabricating the whole thing. This is all we're going to hear about for the next week at least, ACORN off the front page. We needed to get some penetration through the media screen about Barry
O's nasty connections, that's all going to be muddied now. The race as close as it is and McCain behind, we could see an Obama presidency because of this stupid, stupid woman.
Un. Fucking. Believable.

I'm a 'prude' about this anal thing and although the author goes to great lengths to tell you there's nothing wrong with it, you don't get to the nub until you see the first comment about it being 5-80x more likely to contract HIV this way. (Ya think those crazy Old Testament types were on to something there, maybe?)
So, yeah, nothing wrong with it unless you like the idea of playing Russian Roulette with your knob and some drunken hobo's (or hobo-ette's) ass--especially for the rapis--, err, partners that decide they're going to go "rodeo" on your ass.

Oh, by all means, keep joking--I was just commenting on the article itself and how it makes most of the act seem like no big deal from a health perspective (again: until they get to the bloody comments section!) and how it somehow neglects to mention that just sorta driving the point home out of nowhere isn't just fucked up (which they say), it's clearly rape--especially if it's some random person off the street you decide to just give an impromptu rectal exam with a flesh speculum.

From the Department of Racial Harmony*: October 12th, 2011
Dear Comrades,
In order to more clearly and explicitely define the limitations of the Racism and Prejudice Deterance Act of 2009, please note that the following terms, are considered Racist when applied to Officially Protected Class Groups (See Section VII, Subparagraph 3b of the RAPDA for details):
Socialist
Arrogant
Elitist
Terrorist
Poor
Rich
Communist
Lazy
Incompetent
Well-spoken
Hard working
Intelligent
Stupid
Opinionated
Friendly
Also, pursuant to the Community Reinforcement / Individuality Suppression act of 2010, please remember that it is now illegal for Officially Designated Oppressor Class group members (those that make more than the Concensus Median Acceptable Income) to complain about these rules or the rate at which they are encouraged to contribute to the public good.
Violations of these acts will be encouraged to relocate to their nearest RAPDA Reeducation Camp for instructional enhancement.
It is the opinion of the DRH that you are obviously already oppressing yourself by using such outlawed terms to describe yourself and your decision to exceed the concensus median acceptable income.
Please report to your local RAPDARC. For ... enlightenment.

I Wish It Weren't So
We've been following this and hoping and praying and pinned all our hopes on it but its time to admit it...
Fringe sucks.
Yeah, the chick is super hot and the crazy dude is entertaining but let's be honest, this shit isn't even close to Firefly or Battlestar Galactica or even Sarah Conner Chronicles.
Hey, if you enjoy Fringe, more power to you. I personally encounter at least 4 cringe-worthy moments per episode (this episode's hallmark cringe was the contrived, retarded story about her father explaining why she's being a bitch sorta... kinda... but not really but I guess we're to believe she was because the dude said she was or something... but it is all explained by this completely extraneous story about shooting her dad or something... JEEEEZ...) and I really only have a tolerance for about 2.
And yes, I am a moron. But I'm a moron with a fourth grade vocabulary so watch out!

Sarah Connor Chronicles is the best scifi on the air right now. Fringe is certainly watchable... I mean how can you not dig microwave-emitting exploding heads? Yeah, the crap about her stepdad was sorta lame, but there's been lame stuff in SCC too.
And both SCC and Fringe are better than the stuff SciFi Channel is passing off. I'm not exactly sold on Sanctuary.

Here's my problem with these 'idealist' shitfuckers. They rail on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and fucking on about needing to enforce accountability on successful businessmen while simultaneously and consistently assuming that proven, convicted felons and losers and unemployed societal leeches should be given the benefit of the doubt in all fucking cases.
The fuck you say?
What kind of fucked up society operates on the assumption that its shining stars are corrupt, evil monsters while actively ignoring even the possibility that its dredges may, in fact, be up to no good.
Motherfuckers.
Exit Question: Is it just me or does it seem that every time you get a bunch of liberal asshats in charge of a bunch of money, you have the most egregious examples of graft, nepotism and corruption imaginable (United Nations anyone)? Could it be that their ridiculous and unrealistic class-warfare-based view of human nature is... I don't know... wrong?
Look, it makes me feel better and isn't that the important thing?
It occurred to me, while screaming at the Browns, that I have been deeply neglecting my responsibility to turn this into a shoe blog. Thus, I will now take steps to cure that.
Not only do I want those, I want to have a reason to need those. Perhaps when Prince Paolo is taking me to the ball.
Oh this is sooo not a good thing to get me focused on. I have been on the wagon lately. I haven't bought shoes in months. At least impractical shoes, which are the most wonderfulest kind to buy! I do not exactly wear 4 inch stilettos to chase four kids, but I own many many pairs...

Alice - I'm mainly trolling Bluefly and Neiman Marcus except for some of the errr more specialty items, shall we say.
Jennifer - I nearly went with those Loubutin's but I liked the jeweled piece on these more. And the black shoes you linked would actually be an excellent investment, treat them well, get them resoled and you could wear them forever. And heaven bless you with the kids, I can barely keep myself alive, let alone anyone else.

RMT is currently constructing the Kahuku Wind facility located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The 30-MW facility will feature 12 wind turbines and will generate enough clean energy to power about 7,700 homes each year. RMT is providing engineering, procurement, and construction of the civil and electrical infrastructure, including roads, crane walks and pads, turbine foundations, tower erection, a 23-kV underground collector system, a 23/46-kV step-up substation, and a 7,000-square-foot operations and maintenance building.

Not so random thought
Wouldn't it be nice if the McCain campaign were to release an ad featuring the Democratic ticket/media attempts to smear Joe the Plumber and the Missouri Truth Squads? Perhaps closing it out by saying something along the lines of: "Do we really want a presidency where no one is allowed to question the President?"
Of course, this is a moot point, seeing as how we're already in a police state under George W. Hitler's AmeriKKKa.

I'd also like to see them put up something on the efforts to silence the NRA. "Do you really want a guy who would threaten to go after broadcasting licenses of television stations for playing NRA ads to have the kind of power the White House grants?"
