I'm running on almost no sleep, so maybe there's a really obvious answer to this one.

If our oil supplies are OMFG GONNA RUN OUT NEXT WEEK!!!!!, why are we so worried about the BP oil gusher?  Shouldn't it be stopping on its own any day now?
