So, is it a bad thing that my 4 year old daughter can take an old cell phone and act as though she is texting? Is it a bad thing that she holds up the phone and says, "look, one of my computer friends sent me a text"? And is it bad that she says, "Daddy always does this when he takes me to the park or the carnival"?

Not that that has ever happened to me. No way.
