1 That sounds like some of the most useful information ever.

You know that damn adhesive crap they use for price stickers? - WD40. Takes it right off. Old masking tape, dittos.

...whoa, I wonder what WD40 and toothpaste would do???

3 I'm told toothpaste can even get minor scratches off of glass surfaces, such as iPhone screens. I even have a source. I plan on using some to buff the face of my watch, which has become scratched with age.

4 Now you've got me wondering if we should try that on the scratches my son put on the abovementioned TV by driving a toy truck all over it.  Less than a year after we got it.

5 Oh, no... I don't want to be held responsible for anyone's minty fresh TV. Unless of course it works perfectly, in which case, I will take full credit.

6 I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you haz some small chillens, Alice.  Am I right?

I've been told endlessly over the past few decades by several relatives that one of the first phrases I learned to repeat was "Uh-oh!  Trouble!"  That may have had something to do with my artistic decision to take a Magic Marker to my family's brand-new kitchen cabinets.

8 You know that damn adhesive crap they use for price stickers? - WD40.

BUT NOT ON PLASTIC!!!!!!

depending on the depth of the scratch, you can buff them out using brasso, followed with using a soft cotton pollisher, but it's time consuming (done it, it does work)

9 Actually any volotile petroleum product will clean it up.  Instead of WD, use mineral oil, and then use dishwashing liquid to clean off the meneral oil.

My husband's marginally smarter than to try to redecorate our house with Sharpie.  And if it was me, I wouldn't have been trying to clean it up afterwards.
