My God, it's full of stars!

Hello, everyone.  As the least well-known of DPUD’s new cobloggers, I thought I might do a brief intro so you can get an idea of who I am.  If you don’t care, feel free to skip this.  But know that deep within my heart I will harbor an abiding grudge that will eventually consume you with the flames of my anger.

Or something like that.  I’ll stick the rest of this below the fold to avoid taking up lots of space with my mewling.

Firstly, I’d like to thank DPUD for inviting me to come aboard.  I was very honored to be considered, even moreso to be asked.  As blog beginnings go, mine are humble.  I’ve been at this a little over a year now, and have built my blog empire up to 50 hits a day.  Almost half of those are people not searching for vaginal piercing or tightening cream.

I’m an American who has lived in Europe for several years (temporarily, not permanent) working in the private sector (yes, I have a family and a career outside of hobo hunting).  I started blogging as a way to connect with my native country, since I work in a European office in a foreign language all day.

My blogging breaks down into two main groups: humorous musings on things that have happened to me (like the vasectomy saga or my trip to Egypt last month) and satirical newspieces (like my first linked post, Bigfoot No More?).

I’m planning on continuing to blog on Daily Dollop as well as here.  If you’re familiar with my work, then you can rest assured that I’m not going to change what I do.  If you hate my work, then you stink and I don’t like you.

I try to ridicule politicians, environmentalists, celebrities, and anyone else who takes themselves far more seriously than warranted.  I try not to write from anger, since that makes everything less funny.

I don’t do hate pieces and I try to spread the wealth.  If your feelings are hurt because I butchered your sacred cow, I was probably trying to do that, and I will not apologize.  It’s what satirists do.  The good ones, anyway.

Here's a sample of one of my best pieces, which scored a link from Pajamas Media: a spoof on Jeanine Garofalo.  Here's another one that got six hundred hits (my best) for describing the life cycle of junk science.

I hope you enjoy my contribution to this moron-blog and laugh a little (or a lot).
