It's Canada Day, eh
Which is like their version of the Fourth of July. But they hold it on the First of July. And it has fewer fireworks displays and more maple syrup, probably.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy, which technically means we have to obey the Queen if she orders us to do something. It’s mainly a symbolic thing however, as she rarely exercises the privilege - the last time being in 1978 when she ordered us to execute Gordon Lightfoot.Heh. Gordon Lightfoot. Always comedy gold.
